yup, " Going off the field of play may be considered to be part of a playing movement."
if this wasn't the case, there would be no need to defend. the goalie would just run outside the field and yell at the attacker "HA! you're offside now!"
I have just seen that. Due to the crappy Italien, Ruud did a well doneB) |

That's not a playing movement. That's unsporting beahviour. Not legal.
I don't get what you're getting at.
The example you gave is not apt. If a player did that he would sanctioned and a foul would be awarded to the other team. So you can't interpret the rule that way.
But then again, this is all about law so it is a very grey area. My opinion, the goal was illegal. But the Netherlands still owned Italy and they completely deserved the win.

no, it's not. On starsports they had Brian Lee (former scottish international referee) comment on it. that is where I got the "player is considered to be on the touchline" bit.
It's legal.

I actually listen to what he says about the referee's decisions. But only if the match is not FC Porto against, well, any other team in the world because we all know what's his opinion if FC Porto are involved...

The France - Romania game was so painfully boring. To give Romania credit, they did their job well, and they're front man, Niculae or something, played quite well.
The Holland match was very good It's great to see the Italians lose to a bunch of people wearing bright orange shirts. Although the choice of socks is awful from the Netherlands, they don't go with the rest of the kit at all. Orange shirt, white shorts and light blue socks, what were they thinking really

I agree, but what are we, the fashion police, all of a sudden?

I just thought it had to be pointed out
Why couldn't they just stick to orange or white socks? Maybe so their kit resembles the Dutch flag? The shirt seems to be getting more of a red tinge now, so it seems possible they are trying to get their kit to resemble their flag.
I take way too much notice of what they are wearing.

Those light blue socks are dreadful though, your not the only one who noticed Addy
At least they played well in them, although the scoreline rather flattered oranje a little. I hope the games tomorrow are as exciting, and not like the France-Romania game earlier

Fingers crossed
They're not starting Fabregas apparently, which should be good for the structure of the team - he doesn't really fit into Spain's system well.
Of course, the English media can't understand why they won't play one of the Premier League's star players
Thats why England underperform so badly dumbasses |

A spanish TV show "El Intermedio" started a campaign: they're sick and tired of the spanish team always doing so well in qualifying and in the first few games of every major competition and then blowing up completely when playing bigger teams.
So they're supporting another team. They let the spectators vote. 76% voted for Portugal.
So now I was watching on TV a group of random spanish people dressed in team portugal shirts, yelling out "Portugal" in a spanish accent.
This has to go down as one of the goofiest things I've ever seen.
