Androni would like to confirm that they have signed the great Delfi Cervero. He will lead our classics team next season which we are hoping to strengthen immensely during the transfer window.

There is one thing I don't understand
Shouldn't the budget at the end of the season in the PCT be placed after how many EPIC riders they have, as some already got a huge portion of riders, therefore they get a smaller budget ? Or is this already the plan ?

The smaller teams are traditionaly the CT teams, who get an extra draft pick to compensate.
I am now testing different budget options, which isn't easy. I need to make sure the values increase, while also making sure most teams have enough budget to re-sign all their riders if they want to. for a few teams it might be a problem as they have a few big names but didn't perform well. They may have to let one of their big guys go. On the other hand, the teams at the bottom still need enough budget to purchase a few riders to improve. Although they get the top draft picks, so they could earn some money by selling their talents.
So while I'm really looking forward to the this part of the season, getting the budget right will be my biggest challenge.

Can you give us an indication in terms of number? What I mean is, will the budget we around 100, 1000 or what? How much will it cost to re-sign riders and how much would it cost to sign someone from another team who is one of their leaders?
EDIT: Important: Will the draft for free riders come before or after contract negotiations.
For example, with the double-leader thing, say Movistar can't re-sign both Quintana and Valverde, and they choose to keep Quintana. Will Valverde be part of the draft, or will they be able to sell up to a team of their choice?

I'm not going to give any numbers yet, because it's pointless that you know your budget without knowing how much everything costs
Valverde won't be a part of a draft, as his stats are too high. You could only acquire him by signing him as free agent. Furthermore if you want to sign him, you need to meet his expectations as well:
Let's say Quintana and Valverde both want to lead le Tour (I probably won't be that mean to Knockout though ). He decides to stick with Quintana and release Valverde. Let's say Sky wants to sign Valverde as a free agent, then Jaxika would have to give him Tour leadership as well. If Jaxika has already promised that to Froome, he'll have to fire one of the two.

What if you were to sign him directly from Movistar?

So there is a chance I could sign a top GC rider or something oromising them GT leadership? If they can't find a contract elsewhere Im guessing they would accept less to ride as a leader for a CT team?

Nicky Van Drenthe signs for Vacansoleil for the next season. Despite rumours that he were to resign from the sport permantly, he will now be racing under our guidance from next year.
Nicky is a perfect addition to our team and he was personally requested by our captain Juan Antonio Flecha as a great addition to our still high goals in the Nothern Classics. His job will be to assist Flecha in these , but he will also get the job of assisting the sprinters in the later parts of the season.

I pretty much like that idea. For the budget of a team, it should be considered which EPIC riders they signed as well. For example, you could determine wages for the EPIC riders as well as for the normal (sorry if I missed that you already planned on that). Then the bonus of signing 6 super-strong custom riders wouldn't be so big anymore as other teams have more money to buy real riders.
On the other hand, I disagree that it should be decided by the number. More importantly, I think, their strength should be what matters. No offence Aquali, but you'll get a little less than Kim
(Of course nobody from our team ever gets his wages, I hope thats clear. We take together all our money and use it to ensure a post-capitalist life for everybody.)

Good idea. Can be made a correlation between wage and average+points scored per race days of the custom rider. |

I like the idea as well, but it would mean extra work again
I guess I could add the custom riders in the budget, meaning people will have to pay for their custom riders as well.

Yeah, like the idea of custom riders too. Suggestion: Base each value on the average PCM rating of a rider?

I don't like the averages, cause they're not really averages. I think I'll use the same system as the real riders.
