No damage in the last stages, which was most important for Jamis! Now bring on the crucial stages

*kadtagenero - I understand that but you have to have patience .. i might do ITT today but no promises.. about the pics, i agree but it´s how i want to post them in California..
*tsmoha - M.Cooke is fighting to stay with the pack but ITT might be too much for him ... i´m playing as time lets me, so i just can wish you all will be here when time comes.

*sutty68 - Well, 5 days in yellow was great.
J.Bobridge(BEL) sets a real best time in 1h00´13"..
.. but wasn´t a big deal for T.Phinney..
B.J.Maynes rode well today.. at the end he will make 16th..
TOP 7
BEST TIME at this point
J.Acevedo feels great today (+4), we hope to see some good ride today..
J.Tschopp(IAM), with only 17" ahead of Acevedo and with similar itt habilities, it´s going to be one interesting battle..
M.Moser(CAN) is good enought to secure his top5 place..
C.Horner(RLT), if he rides well he might get into top3..
P.Gilbert(BMC) has been very active in the sprints.. can he do the same today?
B.Mollema(BEL) is flying today.. he really wants that yellow jersey..
M.Cooke, 5 days in yellow, biggest surprise in California this year.. can he hold on?
Stage Result / Top10
B.Mollema rides an amazing tt.. will it be enought for yellow?
M.Cooke crosses the line completly empty and with the feeling he gave everything he could give today to defend his lead...

*tsmoha and Ian Butler - Thanks for your comments guys..
Well, no need to be sorry.. we all knowed that Cooke would loose it if not today then tomorrow for sure with the Mount Diablo climb.. neverless, it´s still a great achievement from Cooke
Jamis will focus on Janier in stage 7, of course Cooke will get help too.

Thanks mate..
J.Bobridge gets ready for a hard day of work...
We hadn´t to wait long for someone to attack..
With the 4 riders breakaway established, in peloton seems that either Belkin or Jamis want to take the lead..
We couldn´t keep the race like that, so E.Schildge takes the front..
With a little push from Schildge, we could already see many riders struggling, this at first climb.. Belkin riders are getting hurt, same for BMC ones.. good news for us then.
The breakaway starts 2nd climb.. 2´59" for peloton..
Behind at peloton, almost at same spot as the break was before, Jelly Belly´s R.Van der Velde +12´27" GC attacks..
E.Schildge takes the lead again.. but no one gets droped.
39kms to go, Belkin uses all his riders to close the gap... no team helps with the task.. 2´55"gap.
20kms to go.. peloton can already see Mt. Diablo, some riders get scared.. Belkin has troubles to close the gap.. 2´37"..
10kms to go, J.Acevedo takes the lead in the pack..
7kms... now it´s the time to go.. Janier feels good... he takes the chance to go.
Behind Janier, P.Gilbert, M.Moser, J.Tschopp and L.L.Sánchez crack.. great news for us..
In front of Gilbert´s group, T.Slagter, last support for Mollema cracks too.. B.Mollema, C.Horner and H.Zubeldia go away.. 35" to Janier.
J.Acevedo catch the last escaped rider.. bad news for us, it´s another Radioshack rider... G.Bennett.. this can be dangerous for our lead in team rankings..
Closing kms, Zubeldia cracks, C.Horner and B.Mollema try to catch up with Acevedo..
J.Acevedo is eventually caught by Horner and Mollema as they reach last km mark.. the 2 Radioshack riders come behind.. M.Cooke isn´t far but lost his 2nd place now..
Horner rides away.. Acevedo can´t challenge Mollema for 2nd place..
C.Horner wins.. B.Mollema 2nd and J.Acevedo 3rd...

Bad luck, but nice move by Acevedo and of course a nice result! Can't complain about finishing 3rd behind Mollema and Horner, so I guess we should be satisfied Also Cooke seemed to have shown a great fight for staying insde the Top-10 in GC.

*tsmoha - I don´t think was bad luck mate, Acevedo tried to win but 3rd place is great too, he jumps from 7th to 3rd, i´m happy.
Cooke did good yes.
*admirschleck - Thanks, yes he did.
*sutty68 - Must be happy with 3rd place mate.
I will post last stage now where Acevedo did good and one rider smashed all sprinters this year..

*welker3257 - Thanks.
There we go... last stage in California... we go satisfied, L.Romero´s kom jersey , J.Acevedo´s 3rd and M.Cooke´s 9th are the reason for our happiness..
Mass sprint is expected but first peloton needs to catch those 9 riders in the break.. Astana is doing the job for now..
The race entered a relaxed pace and 5th placed P.Gilbert leads the pack... will he beat the pure sprinters again?
We reach the 20kms mark... 1´05" to escapees..
10kms..
Breakaway didn´t survived... the pack get the final sprint started... once again, P.Gilbert takes the lead.. J.Acevedo tries to stick with him..
But there isn´t anyone who can beat this guy... P.Gilbert wins the stage and is a well deserved points jersey winner.. J.Acevedo closes top10.
