I'm following as well, but I lack the time to comment on stories lately.

Fleche Ardennaise (1.2)
June 16th, 2013
Todays race is going to be a hilly riders dream! Two steep hills near the end, and the startlist is more on the Continental level, so our own riders are favourites just after the guys like Polanc, and Ribeiro.
The first action is a 6 man breakaway. They would not become important to the race review though, as they were caught on the first of the two climbs.
As we reach the first climb, Kopecky makes a bit of a move, only to see who was feeling fresh today, and who was suffering. Hunal sat in the group still, waiting for a better moment to make a move.
At the foot of the final climb, Clément Lhotellerie the winner of last years edition, makes an attack which later formed a group of Polanc, Ribeiro and Parra Pinto.
With the climb done and over with, Ribeiro put on the pressure and dropped the others in the group. At this point he could enjoy the final kms as he knew he was going to win!
And the confirmation, as he crosses the line in first! Its been a great ride!
Hunal made a move at the top of the final climb and descended with Cancellara-esqu style making up a lot of ground of those ahead of him. He put his all in going to the line and sped past a couple guys, but probably could have wished for a better result personally. As a team though, Hunal did a fantastic race. The only riders ahead of him, have a lot larger reputation and are for sure on a level above him, so we are very happy! Great way to head into the National Championship break!

Great result there.
And btw, as i dont know a great lot about some details of pcm. When you start a career and are choosing skill developement. Its between 0.1 and 1, i think. If you want fast developement what do you choose.
Thanks

1 is the fastest development (and decline of older riders), but it is not very realistic. Best is 0.3
@valv: Good result for Hunal in the top-5

@ LLS - Well, Selwink already said, but 1 would be the fastest development, while .1 would be the slowest. I like to have the slider just above .2. I notice that the slider set so that every .1 there is a change, it can actually be something more or less if that makes sense.
@ Selwink - Thank you! I was quite happy with the result.

Thanks. Like I said before, it was a good result. And yeah, he's been one of those guys thats been everywhere this year! I think he's in the Top 20 of the CT rankings.
Edit: and The NC's were just horribly unrealistic, so I'll just make one big post.

Cool to read about Fleche Ardennaise! It's a race I've raced myself some years ago, but it was much too hard for me (In fact it's even harder than the profile used in your db)
Btw, these Portuguese and American teams are a pain in the ass in my career too, I've to fight guys like Acevedo, Mancebo, Ribiero, ... in almost every .2-race But you did fairly well
valverde321 wrote:@ all - thanks a lot for commenting consistently The amount of comments have gone down a bit as of late, I guess because of school starting up again, so to those that have stuck around, it really means a lot!
You should check my career and then you'll realize you still have a lot of comments But no comments doesn't mean no readers I'm a fan pf this career at least, keep it coming!

I loved that screen Guess Teddy was referring to the look of the sky, I mean it's brilliant!
Just tried to catch up with the last few pages today and you had some great results, even on extreme (a good move, imo). Hunal is most probably going to be my favorite rider on your team - by now. He's doing great. And this talent.. Hruszka?! Can't remember his name right now, but I guess we'll see his name quite often, if you continue this story for a while
Great stuff, keep it going. I'll keep following but you notice some lack of comments from time to time

Not necessarily great performances but at least they are consistent, which means securing a lot of points, which is important as well.

@ Sisse - Yeah, I was quite excited to ride it. Thats actually very interesting! About the profile, I think the stage us unforunately a fake stage, which means its just some default stage thats been recycled for this.
Yeah, especially the Portuguese teams are annoying for me Thanks a lot! These kind of comments are really awesome to read!
And true, I guess I should be thankful for the comments I am getting, instead of wanting more
@ tsmoha - Thanks The sky was actually a bit plain until I did a bit of editing to separate the two colors.
Thank you! I am also a big fan of Hunal, he's my favourite on the team as well! Hruska is his name, and I was quite lucky to find him. He's nowhere to be found in the U23 Ranking which is surprising looking at his stats. I have done a quick scan and he is about at the top of what the young riders stats are, so dont know whats happening with him.
Thanks a lot!
@ fcanc - Hey, I think they were great Yep. If I get about 150 more CQ points, I'd move up to PCT. Really doubtful that could happen, but that puts into perspective just how good this season has been.

All right Jurgen
Didier won Luxembourg? Was he the only rider in the race?
Kristoff, Greipel, Cavendish, Sagan... will be nice to see a sprint with those jerseys |

No, there are actually about 20 Luxembourgers atleast in this db so lots were in the race I didn't actually take note, but I believe it was from a break.

@ all - well I really wanted to get past this race, so I rushed and the results are even worse than normal
I'd also like to start announcing some of the signings so I'm really excited to get to that. I've kept it pretty realistic I think, but I've decided to sign a few outside the borders of the Czech Republic.
But first, the final race before the transfer window.
Course Cycliste de Solidarnosc et des Champions Olympiques (2.1)
June 24th, 2013 - June 29th, 2013
The first stage was a tense afair, and the 60km/h winds certainly didn't help the riders nerves. It was a hectic day until the end, but the two biggest teams, Euskaltel and Lampre made good work of their trains and Urtasun takes the first stage.
1 | Pablo Urtasun Perez | Euskaltel Euskadi | 3h05'49 | 2 | Daniele Pietropolli | Lampre - Merida | s.t. | 3 | Arthur Ershov | RusVelo | s.t. |
Stage 2 was a hilly day and the two WT teams were expected to really dominate here! The attacks came thick and fast in the final kms, but Hunal made a calculated effort and although he couldn't win the stage he finished 4th place. Of course the organisers felt there was no gap between 5th place, although it appeared there was, so a bit disappoint as that could have moved him way up in the GC.
1 | Luca Wackermann | Lampre - Merida | 3h51'22 | 2 | Daniele Pietropolli | Lampre - Merida | + 56 | 3 | Pablo Urtasun Perez | Euskaltel Euskadi | s.t. | 4 | Martin Hunal | AC Sparta Praha | s.t. | 5 | Andrea Palini | Lampre - Merida | s.t. |
Stage 3 was another flat day, and it again went to the higher profile teams who have the stronger sprint trains. It wasn't a terrible day for us with Hunal in 9th, but we would have liked to do better today.
1 | Grzegorz Stepniak | CCC Polsat - Polkowice | 4h06'24 | 2 | Ivan Kovalev | RusVelo | s.t. | 3 | Remco Te Brake | Metec - TKH Continental CyclingTeam | s.t. |
Stage 4 was a Mountain TT, and to be honest our team all had a bad day. Its probably more to do with the lack of funding for the top equipment like some of the other teams. We would have liked to do better, but the riders just aren't as good. Busche took the win on the day, and Polanc was closely behind, and the new GC leader is Wackerman.
1 | Matthew Busche | Radioshack - Leopard | 2 | Jan Polanc | Radenska | 3 | George Bennett | Radioshack - Leopard |
GC
1 | Luca Wackermann | Lampre - Merida | 2 | Matthew Busche | Radioshack - Leopard | 3 | Jan Polanc | Radenska | 4 | George Bennett | Radioshack - Leopard | 5 | Kirill Sveshnikov | Lokosphinx |
Stage 5 was another hilly finish, but the gaps weren't large enough to have any time changes so it was a bit of an anticlimax for a lot of people. Hunal hung in there with the leaders, but couldn't crack the Top 10 on the stage. Urtasun gets his 2nd stage win, and will surely make Euskaltel proud although it wont be enough to save them from stopping at the end of the season.
1 | Pablo Urtasun Perez | Euskaltel Euskadi | 4h29'49 | 2 | Daniele Pietropolli | Lampre - Merida | s.t. | 3 | Matthew Busche | Radioshack - Leopard | s.t. |
The final stage was a typical sprint finish and Etixx had a great day with Hoelgaard winning the day! Hunal ended the day in 8th place, but if he had placed himself better he probably could have grabbed a Top 5 which would have been nice for the team! The new Ukrainian champion also came in 3rd place, proving he's in good form.
1 | Markus Hoelgaard | Etixx - IHNed CT | 2h16'52 | 2 | Arthur Ershov | RusVelo | s.t. | 3 | Oleksandr Martynenko | ISD Continental Team | s.t. |
Final GC
1 | Luca Wackermann | Lampre - Merida | 18h04'57 | 2 | Matthew Busche | Radioshack - Leopard | + 4 | 3 | Jan Polanc | Radenska | + 16 | 4 | Pablo Urtasun Perez | Euskaltel Euskadi | + 34 | 5 | George Bennett | Radioshack - Leopard | + 35 | 6 | Kirill Sveshnikov | Lokosphinx | + 36 | 7 | Arthur Ershov | RusVelo | + 43 | 8 | Bob Jungels | Radioshack - Leopard | + 44 | 9 | Gennadiy Tatarinov | RusVelo | s.t. | 10 | Daniele Pietropolli | Lampre - Merida | + 45 | ... | 21 | Martin Hunal | AC Sparta Praha | + 1'06 | ... | 24 | Rostislav Krotký | AC Sparta Praha | s.t. |
Overall the Tour could have gone better, but I still dont think we performed too far below our expectations. Hunal and Krotky both had nice races and the others did well supporting them or trying to slip into the breakaway. It was very tough for a lot of them, but I know they were riding their strongest.
