Is there some statistic of the people winning in their first TdF road stage ever? I still cannot believe it
Not sure about that, but no one that young has won a Tour de France stage since Armstrong's stage win in '93, I think. |

Jan Ullrich was 22 when he won the TT in 96 and 23 when he won a road stage in 97.
Edit: And Pozzato was 22 when he won in 2004.
Edit: For some reason i made Sagan a year older than he acutally is, so Ullrich and Pozzato were older.

After his fall, I guess he understood that he was out of contention for a top spot. Why waste energy the last km's then? I guess he was saving himself for the next days.

Roux and LL Sanchez have both gone to hospital

Did the optimal in leeching Cancellara. The known tactic to win races in pro-cycling the past few years. Try and follow Cancellara, if you can, you'll probably win. IF you can't. Well good luck to you... |

Can also be bruises. Maybe google meant that?
Depending on the region he's from it's more likely to be one thing or the other.

apparently if the commissionaries are satisfied that froome had a flat and he was in contact with the main group at that time, the 3km rule will apply and he will get the same time as the leaders |

Google reckoned 'magulladuras' was bruises - which is what Costa has. (From the same tweet by Movistar)

Not quite so fortunate was team-mate Chris Froome who suffered a puncture in the last 10km and, despite battling hard and with the assistance of team-mate Richie Porte, crossed the line in 95th, 1:25 down.
So the time lost will stand at the end.

Damn, Sky got to wear those stupid yellow helmets again tomorrow
Is that why they're wearing them - they're leading the team competition or something?
It's taken me the best part of two years to start warming to Team Sky - them all showing up wearing yellow helmets today blew all my good will out of the water.

Its such a shame Cancellara can't sprint against Sagan... He deserves more. Kudos for Sagan knowing Cancellara is the guy to follow, not Chavanel. |

Btw Peter Velits punctured at the same time as Froome did. So that's why he lost time too.

Yeah, it's in the rule book. New rule this year though, team classification leaders must wear yellow number and helmet.

Does anybody know what happened to Horner? It isn't like him to get dropped like that.
