Will probably leave early for the olympics
I hope he does
Olympic champion doesn't compare to a maybe, a slight possibility top 10 in TDF. |

Not really big news, but I got bigger feeling now that Eisel is not doing the Tour with Cav.
All riders from Dauhpine were on one week training camp, in Chatel, in the French Alps. And now 5 maintained to continue training here.
Pate, EBH, Froome, Knees and Porte.
I thought it was a toss up between Eisel and Knees for last spot and seeing it like that, I am sure that all 5 will go, with Wiggins, Rogers, Cav & Siutsou joining them.

Too bad for Eisel.
But a damn strong team, though.
Maybe the best in TDF. |

I remember a french video where wiggins don't even know the name of his teammates. He said : I had a flat tire and mick rogers and Konstantin ...... a thing helped me . He don't give a damn ? or Siutsou is too hard to remember. |

No, it's a running joke in the team
He gave interview in Tour of Romandie, nobody knows whether it's Konstantin Siutsou or Svistov

I dunno, but I doubt Cav is going to be particularly pleased about this. When Sky's goal all along was a British Tour winner he must have known there was a good chance he was gonna be marginalised. |

Cav's happy in my opinion. He knew this Tour wasn't his and I am sure he'll leave after he gets one/few stages. I'd say he will pull midway through or thereabouts. Cav knew coming to Sky this Tour year was about Wiggo too. He embraced it, adding to that he lost weight, and set his biggest goal of Olympics, seemingly happy to focus on Olympics while Wiggo on Tour. Next year he'll be back to fight for green.

I tend to agree with this. Sky seem to have this philosophy of "if you could win one thing this year what would it be" and going all out for that. For Cav that's surely the Olympics where he has history to settle and it only comes round once in a lifetime (the flat enough course I'm thinking though a home Olympics is also obviously huge).
Plus he stayed the course at the Giro and went all in for the points jersey there, which also suggests a brief Tour and a secondary goal of attempting a win in all 3 GT points competitions.
Never really thought of Bernie not being at the Tour but I guess it makes perfect sense from a team point of view to not waste a spot on a babysitter who will be unemployed after stage 13 or so especially if Cav is lighter and climbing better than ever anyway. |

Yeah TDF doesn't always have to be around Cav
Wiggins has a big shot at winning this, they won't risk that for another win/green jersey for Cav. Right now, yellow is at stake, history is at stake. |

I don't know what he can do, and now we'll never know
Riding top 10 in TDF is not something easily done. Martin's a decent rider and a great TTist, but I don't know if he could hang on in the mountains enough, I don't think so. |

I'm guessing not as much as this year.
If Martin wanted to get a good place, he'd have to do it this year. But I'd rather see him as Olympic Champion. |

Yea i agree. I think the main factor in it as well is that I think HE wants to be olympic champion. that'd be a lot better than some Tour TT wins (which he already has) under his belt.

I wish for next year TDF 0 km of TT.
For Cav' , Sky's Giro was dedicated to him and he fails to win the sprinters jersey. This year Cav seems to be easily beatable.( Kittel , Greipel , Ferrari , Boom , Guardini , etc ) |

Lol, you should applaud Cav for finishing the Giro And if you din't notice before, check who won Points at Giro in 2009, 2010 and 2011
Nice trolling
