That's how a random post on a random forum can lead to news stories
No way I would ever have stumbled upon it by myself.
However, judging by the Google translation, it does sound like that Popovych is just summing up the rumours about riders leaving the team. However, I'm hoping/guessing the Ukrainian who posted the link knows better
When did you turn from 'law' kinda journalist to a sport one ?

Since 1st of June
I'm on an 1-year intern ship with four months at three different news desks. First four at news, next four at sports (right now I'm only doing the Tour which is awesome), next four at a mixed desk (gadgets, economy and other stuff). |

Lucky you, no better job than reporting news/stuff from your favourite sport that you follow ( I guess American Football comes close to Cycling though as well ). Seems like enjoyable 7 months left from your inter ship

I went straight to this thread since I figured that you found it here.
I also couldn't help smiling when Dennis Ritter, one of the Danish TV2 commentators, mentioned it in the live transmission of the stage.
No wonder that the world is full of rumors. |

If the Shcleck's go to Astana then I hope Nibali doesn't, Nibali will never have a shot at the Tour de France again, he could easily settle into a super domestique role.
If Schleck(s) goes to Astana, then Nibali is going to be leader in Giro, Schleck(s) in Tour and possibly Kreuziger in Vuelta. Plus there would be Brajkovic and Kiserlovski.. There would be a lot of really good climbers for sure but it shouldn't be that big problem to give all these riders the opportunity to shine in a big race..

If Nibali joins the Schlecks then Astana will be a Super Team. |

When the Schleck's went to Radioshack and joined Horner and Kloden it was supposed to be a Super Team, but look what happened there

For the sake of Nibbles, and Astana, I really hope they don't end up there. |

It could have been a super team in the Giro or the Vuelta but the Schlecks will never win the TDF because they cant TT. If you had those 4 in the other 2 working for one of them they could easily win both especially if Zubeldia is there to.
A Kloden, Zubeldia, Horner, F Schleck leadout for Andy would completely destroy the Peloton.

Carlos Sastre managed to win Le Tour, but he wasn't much of a time-trialist, was he?

Actually he only lost about 2min to Cancellara and finished 12th on the 53 km final ITT in that Tour, (alltho that was considerably better than he usually did ) |

As far as I know, there are no 'Schlecks' anymore. Fränk was caught by the French Anti Doping Agency so only Andy can join Astana...
They are brothers. They are best friends. They literally cant spend a second apart on the road. IMO, I think we could see Andy joining him on the sidelines, as long as a proper investigation is produced (highly doubtful)...
And this is relevant. It could mean Andy -> Free Agents aka Transfer News

In today's L'Equipe, VInokourov says they only wanted A. Schleck, not Fränk, so the negotiations ended there.
Might change now? |

in your opninion, after yesterday performance, shoould Froome leave Sky and join a team where he will be the man GC contender, for example like Liquigas, where Basso in not in his prime and Nibali will join Astana? |

Personally i wouldn't want Froome to leave but whilst all the faith is put into Wiggins then i see no other option than to go to a team that will support him |

It was said maybe a hundred times in the race threads, that Froome should be possible GT leader for Sky in the next years and Wiggins will be fine to help him, return the favours...Alakagom said it too and as he is right usually with things around Sky and it sound logical, i think Froome will lead the team next years, if he will not become shite rider he was again.

If Froome rides the Vuelta as planned, it will be nice to see if the team will ride for him as they have ridden for Wiggo |

This is right, but how would you feel when you can a deserve to win a tour (and a vuelta don't forget abou last year), and you have to slow down because your leader can keep up your pace? don't forget that froome lost about 1.50'' in first stage cause a puncture and no one helped him! without that he would have been only 30'' behind WIggins, and Froome have been stronger than him on the climbs since he had to wait for him atleast 3 times! Yesterday he could have won the stage if only Wiggins had told him to go! In my opinion Sky had and has a very ungrateful attitide towards Froome and i watched his interviews he's not quite happy about his situation at this time and maybe if someone, Liquigas for example, would call him he would think about leaving Sky, but that's only an opinion |
