It was a great experience to watch this in Copenhagen.
I moved around quite a bit, watching it from several spots. I ended up being in the finish area. I couldn't see much from there, but obviously, it was great to feel all the excitement that's unavoidable when thousands of people cheer for the riders.
I managed to get in the front row for the podium, but with 20 official photographers suddenly showing up and "taking over" the front row, it turned out to be a quite bad idea to stand where I stood
In the end, it wasn't really the racing that made an impression on me. After all, time trials tend to be quite boring. Rather, it was the feeling of standing in the middle of Denmark's most crowded road with no cars in sight, seeing children play and have fun. That's not going to happen again for a very, very long time, so I certainly hope that everyone have enjoyed these car free days to their fullest. |

To be honest, I think this photo says a fair bit about Wiggins and Cancellara. Wiggins moping over a lucky 2nd place and Cancellara taking an unlucky 3rd like a man

PS: For some reason I can't include the photo, but heres the link.

They have the same expression they're just looking in different directions. Put a video if you want to actually prove anything.

Well, that's your opinion. I however dissagree, take a look at their eyes. Also look at Wiggins reaction after he crossed the line. |

Wut? When Wiggins went up on the podium he hugged Martin and beamed a big smile. Sure the guy is nearly always grumpy, but this wasn't such a day.

Great win by Martin, Even if Cancellara was in shape he could'nt win. I think this is the most bad season from Cancellara so far. He lost his second place after he had to stand still against that crowd barrier. Anyway it is a nice World Championship so far... |

Cancellara has nothing to be shamed about because the 2 guys who beated aren't strangers right? BTW LL Sanchez, Alberto Contador and Evans weren't there right? What could they have done? |

Cancellara ofcourse doesn't have to be shamed about anything and LL Sanchez AC and Evans can never win a TT World Championship (only if there is no concuration) |

I don't think they would have done anything special. Too easy course. |

I think the question now is....Is Cancellara declining? He's 30 and turned pro very early so chances are high that yes he is. But it could also have been just a random bad season.
One thing is for sure. If he's declining he'll never again be dominant.

I think we will see it more clearly next year. If he isn't up there fighting for the win in PR and RvV then I am afraid the big man is going down... |

As far I was said about the Eritreans:
They had 1 time trial bike and the 2 riders shared that bike (as they had 2 hours time between them)
The first rider got the bike to the start but the UCI guys said that the steering is wrong (height/width) and the Eritrean took some bandage to get it right, but was later disqualified maybe because of that
As he was disqualified at the finish, the 2nd rider took a normal bike and got a disk from the HTC - Highroad guys (who are there for the german national team) and rode with that bike

I think he's declined in TT this year.
However, despite the lack of major results, thought he looked as strong as ever in the Classics.
