This TdF isn't normal.. Too many crashes because they start with too many riders. They should start with max 140 riders, the best 140 riders because its too nervous

Saying it should of been another rider is madness, especially after the seriousness of the some of the crashes this year. I don't like Contador but feel what Karpets done was wrong.

Giro and Vuelta start with around 190 riders, you don't see loads of crashes all the time there. It's more nervousness and the level of competition, everyone wants to win or ride well to value their place on the team. Nothing to do with the amount of riders in my opinion.
