Stage 5 -- Cusset - Col de la Republique
Jens Voigt has a big lead on Col de la Republique, with only 3 kms left
A half hearted attack from Van den Broeck and Voeckler. The others who attacked got reeled in, while we managed to get a small gap.
Voigt wins!
Van den Broeck finishes 1.30 behind Voigt
The peloton is 2.07 behind Voigt, which means Van den Broeck is the new leader

Stage 7 -- Sisteron - Cannes
The break is caught just when the sprints starts, we use this oppurtunity to get away from the rest. Offredo goes for it with Feillu on his wheel
And they get a nice lead. Goss is too far behind to prevent Feillu getting the jersey
Stage win no. 2 for Feillu

You're having great results! Maybe you can win Paris-Nice with VDB, because he is very good. Good luck with that. |

Stage 8 -- Nice - Nice
Setting a high pace to prevent attacks on Col d'Eze
Sandy Casar and Pierrick Fedrigo attacking over the top, but they are caught shortly after. It looks like it's going to end in a sprint, which means Van den Broeck have won the 2012 Paris - Nice!
Juan Mauricio Soler wins the stage!

Many sprints over La Manie. Hushovd, Farrar, Boonen (every candidate from Garmin, except Haussler), Bennati, Pozzato and others are in group no. 2.
Status on the Poggio:
Group no. 2 has failed to reach the front group. The front group has shrunk drasticly, and now there are just around 20 riders left. Goss, Haussler, Cancellara and Gilbert are the top contenders in the group. And here we can see Offredo and Feillu falling off. Which means that only Voeckler and Van den Broeck are left in it.
Kolobnev has a lead on the downhill, but are back again shortly after.
Goss and Haussler neck and neck
Haussler wins! Van den Broeck is 10th

If i could, i would fly over to Norway and shake your hand good sir... but.... it costs alot of money to fly from New Zealand to Norway... so i will just tell you that this is my fav story.... your doing really well... hope you can get the top 5 with VDB knowing you, you will exceed expectations? maybe get 7 stage wins.... maybe a few more?

Thanks Understandably it is more fun to follow a story where you are the underdog, and not the favorite all the time. |

I am very grateful for your comment, it really helps me wanting to continue to play. 7 stage wins is a bit drastic, but I hope for at least one
I have to work at easter, so I don't know how much time I get to play... |
