It surprises me that Navarro doesn't want to be captain for some team, he definately has the strenght. |

some guys just don't want to be leaders. Klöden, I suspect also Szmydt.
But some guys who dont deserve to be leaders..demanding it. Kreuziger is fresh example (he has time to develop...but additude is correct already) |

And Gazzeta says Riis has a lot of extra money from Specialized to sign him and 4 specific spanish helpers.
So much for a danish team. The danish fans are going to kill Riis. Time for Riis to call his friends at the danish embassy.

Surely contador will be going to caisse?
with the likes of sanchez and valverde (arguably) leaving then they are currently looking for a GC leader
and what better way to advertise to a new sponsor than a 3 time TDF winner? |

I doubt it, in 2008 there was no danes on the tour team, and there has been than one occasion where that has been the case. This year with 4 danes on the team is unusually high compared to previous years.
And who are the 4 spanish guys. Navarro, Jesus Hernandez and Benjamin Noval has to be certain, who is the last guy? De la Fuente? |

You can't sign the guys without having the sponsor first. Much less the most expensive guy in the world after Cancellara, and his 4 helping gnomes

No one is going to sign with Caisse before they have a new sponsor. |

Also, the thought currently in my head is:
Now that VDB has emerged and Lotto suddenly don't want him, I can see Kreuziger at Astana.
Quickstep, Sungard or even Lampre are also options

No one is going to sign with Caisse before they have a new sponsor.
Maybe one thing is related with the other one...
Some Sponsors saying to Caisse that they will sign only if Contador is in... |

If specialized are offering this amount of money to Riis to tie conta to this new team, do we expect the new team to be named specialized racing etc, not just bike supplier?

Yes, Riis announced that he has two title sponsors with Sungard being the smaller of them - so it'll be Team XXXXX - Sungard. |

They are said to be negotiating with HTC - Columbia (the latter's sponsorship ends this year). |

If Danish sponsors like Vestas, Lego and especially Carlsberg stepped up to support Danish sports teams (instead of every other countries teams:marketing obviously) maybe there would not be a question loosing the Danish flare at Riis cycling
Anyways, anything that keeps a top team in Europe is great....having said that, will they eventually move across the pond to be based out of the US at Specialized and Sungard's request and be forced to make the TofC the priority again over the Giro?
Carlsberg is sponsoring FCK, the biggest football club in Denmark. Vestas I don't see getting much out of sponsoring cycling. They rely on orders from governments/ local-governments, and they are already one if the biggest if not the biggest in the business. LEGO I don't see as a company with the money (they were close to bankruptcy just a few years ago) and they are already widely known in almost every home in the western world, which is the main audience of cycling, so they won't get much out of the sponsorship. |

Wasn't the unknown sponsor the one who would name the team?

Both Sungard and mystery sponsor are name sponsors. |
