Flanders was too long for Millar. Roubaix will be too. Love to see him do well though. |

Yep, Id be very happy if Millar managed to get a Top 20. (While also hoping for a Hammond Top 10, and Thomas Top 30, Britwise)

yeah, millar is showing himself as a great allround rider and i hope he will be able to truly add cobbles to his repertoire with a top 20. and i'd like to see hammond get a good result as he winds down

TV 2 has a lead up to the race, so they'll start airing at 13:45. Eurosport starts at 14:30.

A Danish guy made this pdf (for print) which contains the most important information that you need during the race:
1. Map with the pavees and the time the peloton is expected to reach them
2. An overview of all the pavees with their length, difficulty and distance from/to the finish line
3. The (expected) startlist

Cool thanks...
Had some hopes that some channel started before TV2, but I suppose it's a decent lead up time.
Unfortunately it will all be about Matti Breschel, who we all know won't win the race.

Do we? If I have to pick anyone who could benefit from Tombo saying "I'd rather drop dead than let Fabian ride away from me", it'd be Breschel. And I'm not Danish. |

You've got a good point there. Matti could 'pull a Devolder' tomorrow as Cancellara could be completely marked by Boonen...

Well this race is among the only races in which tactics plays little role. If you are the strongest you are VERY likely to win the race. Unless Cancellara is the strongest and Matti the second best...
I really doubt that Matti is. I would be rather impressed if he did anything better than 5th or 6th.

Tell that to Stuart O'Grady. |

Well imo Stuart O'Grady was better back when he was top level, than Matti is atm...
But it's too subjective I guess. We have to look at the race today to see. My bet is definitely that Matti isn't on the podium by the end of the day.

I'd be surprised with Matti too if he made the podium.
Having said that there was a while there at Flanders where along with Boonen he looked the strongest rider in the race.
I'm just praying they don't have the Pozzatto SIDI advert on again today...

and another victory of cyclingnews.com
12:13 CEST
Cyclingnews' Brecht Decaluwe cornered a few riders yesterday for comments. One of them was Liguigas' Peter Sagan. After his climbing exploits during Tirrenno-Adriatico it seemed like Sagan is a specialist for the Ardennes classics blah blah..
it's only been a month since the race, for christ's sake..
