@ cristi2012: He almost is...
@ fcancellara: You should know, Monster girls only at the monthly review. Okay, maybe when I win Le Tour...
@ sutty68: Thanks for the banana. His current fitness is 91, so he does a great job.
@ Schleck96: I've played the first 2 stages of the Tour de Suisse already. With the Scleck bros, Nibali, Menchov, Contador and Van den Broeck participating, the field is way stronger than here in the Dauphine.

Stage 8
The last stage of this Dauphiné brings the riders from Allevard-les-Bains to Sallanches. The key part of the route is the Cote de Domancy (3km at 8.6%, max 13%), that has to be climbed 5 times.
73km to go
Today's hero is Danish Anders Lund. He was part of a 4-man BOTD, but in the first ascend of the Cote de Domancy, he drops the others and continues a nce solo ride. His maximum lead to the peloton is almost 6 minutes.
16km to go
Lund gets caught when the last lap starts and then Thomas De Gendt attacks. He gets joined by Luke Rowe. Unfortunately, the 2 aren't allowed to get a bigger margin of 30 seconds.
8km to go
The 2 get caught in the early metres of the the last ascend of the Cote de Domancy. The next one to attack is Europcar's Cyril Gautier, who is absolutely flying at the slopes. Gautier arrives at the summit with a margin of 30 seconds to Michael Rogers. A group with Gesink, Wiggins, Niemiec, Kern and Kiserlovski follows at 1 minute.
Finish
The win goes to Cyril Gautier, who has developed into a great puncheur. 1'10 behind him, Robert Gesink finishes the stage in the 7th place, thus winning the 2013 edition of the Critérium du Dauphiné.

A small Dutch stage race in the province of Zeeland, the Delta Tour Zeeland. 1 prologue, 2 flat stages and probably some wind. That's the recipe for this race. Last year, Bobbie Traksel took the win.

Our team
Stage 1
The best time being set in the 5.2 kilometre prologue in the streets of Vlissingen is 6'52 by Sébastien Rosseler, with just 3 riders to start. One of these 3, Swedish Thomas Lökvist is 2 seconds faster and the new time to beat is 6'50.
Joost Posthuma comes very, very close, but is a single second slower.... Löfkvist wins the prologue, and place 2 and 3 for our team.

Stage 2
The 2nd stage between Middelburg and Goes is almost 200km long. Luckily for the riders, there is almost no wind. The stage ends in a mass sprint and it is an easy win for the Cofidis sprinter Samuel Dumoulin. Tom Boonen finishes in 2nd and takes over the GC-lead. Best from our team is Pim Ligthart in 7th.

We really wanted that prologue win. One second..... The sprint results were not bad, 7th and 6th, just as 4th and 7th in the GC.

Together with the Dauphiné, the Tour de Suisse counts as the most important preparation race for the Tour de France. This 9 stage race features every tyoe of stages, that the riders will also find in Le Tour: ITT, hilly stages and lots of climbing kilometres.
Normally, a rider that is good in the Tour de Suisse, has peaked too early for Le Tour. Last year, Vincenzo Nibali prooved the opposite. After winning in Suisse in an absoltuely dominant way, he also won Le Tour, some achievenment that hadn't been done since Lance Armstrong in 2001.
The route
The Tour de Suisse starts with a mountain prologue in Zürich. Only 4 kilometres, but 1700metres are uphill up to 13%. The next day, from Baden to Biel is for the sprinters, whereas stage 3 from Neuchatel to Lausanne will suit a breakaway or a puncheur.
In stage 4 the riders enter the mountains. First, 234 kilometres between Vevey and Chalet de la Lec, with 4 difficult climbs and the finish after a short desecnd. The next day between Sion and Thun is relatively easy, so maybe a 2nd chance for the sprinters. The 6th stage features 2 big mid-stage climbs and a mountain top finish at Oberurmein.
The 7th stage brings another mtf to Arosa, while the next day, the riders can rest a bit towards Luzern with the last 60km being flat. The Tour de Suisse will be decided in the last stage, a 37km ITT in and around Bern.

The favourites
*** Vincenzo Nibali (Radio Shack), Andy Schleck, Alberto Contador (Movistar).
** Jurgen Van den Broeck (BMC), Denis Menchov (Liquigas), Fränk Schleck (Omega Pharma).
* Steven Kruijswijk (Qantas), Wilco Kelderman, Vasil Kiryienka (Astana).
Our goal
With most of our riders in a relatively bad fitness, we have no real GC-ambitions. The most important goal is getting Andy Schleck in shape for the Tour de France. But a top 10 in the GC will be very nice!

It's the 2011 PCM.daily DB. Maybe that's the reason? Really don't know why....

Stage 1
The Tour de Suisse kicks off with a 4 kilometre prologue. As the road is ascending in the last 1700metres with gradients up to 13.5%, only a climber will be capable of winning the stage.
With the best time so far being set by American veteran Levi Leipheimer, his time is crushed by young Dutch Wilco Kelderman. The number 10 of the Giro is 7 seconds faster than Leipie: 8'29.
Janez Brajkovic is 4 seconds faster than Kelderman, and can take place in the hot seat now.
Another young Dutchy who is doing very well! Steven Kruijswijk from Team Qantas is just a few tenths of a seconds slower than Brajkovic, 2nd time so far.
Jurgen Van den Broeck is one of the better climbers in the peloton, and thus a favourite for the GC-top 3. He starts good with the 3rd time so far, only '2 behind Brajkovic.
After his doping suspension, Alberto Contador is slowly getting to the top form needed to can win the Tour again. He sets a decent time, '12 behind Brajkovic.
Vincenzo Nibali dominated last year's Tour de Suisse and the question is if he is aiming for a 2nd GC-win, or that he needs this Tour de Suisse to get in shape for the Tour. He sets the 9th time, '8 behind his team mate Brajkovic. Does this mean his shape isn't taht great yet?
The last rider to start is Andy Schleck. After a nice resting period after his win in Liège-Bastogne-Liège, he is back on his bike, with full focus at the Tour. Although having a bad fitness (71), he rides a great prologue, setting the 5th time, '6 slower than Brajkovic.

Nah, Andy is clean. Nobody in my team is using dope, they're having Monster Energy in their bidons and are all flying
