Liverpool's signings don't make sense to me at all.
Buy two guys for about £30 each who are not great and now Remy who played for QPR. They will get thrashed in the Champions League and I dont see them challenging for the title.
Jose Mourinho says that Chelsea are finished in the transfer window so does that mean that Arsenal have a good chance of getting Khedira? And I do not want Cassilas at Arsenal, his WC performances were disastrous and if we already have Sczesny and maybe Ospina then why get a third keeper? And we need a good CB to compete with Koscielny and Mert and to replace an outgoing Vermaelen.

SO, United played their first pre season game this morning and smashed LA Galaxy with 7-0, the result in itself doesn't say too much since the opposition was very weak (especially in the second half) but some of the stuff on the pitch looked really promising. LVG played a 3-4-1-2 with Mata behind 2 strikers and the tactic looked good. But the most promising thing was that Ander Herrera was magnificent, he bossed that midfield like he had never done anything else in his life, always looking to play the positive ball while also being hard on the tackle. He ended the game with 2 assists and set up another 3-4 goals, that was by far the best debut i have ever seen in a United-shirt (not the most important though, Kiko Macheda did basically win us the league with his debut ))... |

Davies for Siggy was a good deal for us. We already have Taylor as an equally good and arguably better replacement at left back while Siggy can slot right into Michu's spot behind the striker so we needed him. I wouldn't be surprised if we still go after JDG because Monk is really keen on him. Vorm was shit last season so Fabianksi is a step up.
You forgot to mention Montero who could be superb. Dyer on the right and Montero on the left charging into the box with Bony and/or Gomis up front should give Siggy a huge number of targets to aim at.
I'm just not sure what formation we are going to play. Rumours say 4-4-2 diamond with Britton forming the back of the diamond but I'm not sure if that will be enough strength in midfield.

What a few incredible days for Everton fans. Besic, new contract for Barkley and now Lukaku. The club is doing an incredible job, we basically changed Fellaini for Lukaku and Jelavic/Anichebe for McCarthy/McGeady/Besic. And still more to come this summer!

While incredible few days, as few pointed out, you marely mainained the team from last season, not ''strenghening'' as much per se. And with United definitely back into right way, and many others getting adding quality players Everton will find it much harder this year to repeat last year feats.
However I think Martinez will have a eye on Europe League, which is winnable.

We are stronger already right now for sure. Pienaar, Gibson and Kone healthy. Young stars are one year more experienced, while players like Garbutt and McAleny are coming through. And we are still in for another 3 or 4 new quality players. Martinez will have an eye on all competitions we will are in. I have no worries we will be at least in a fight for European football for the next season.
United are in a deep trouble and they will be lucky if they will be back in Champions League for 2015/16. They are playing 3 at the back while having three, mostly injury prone, centre backs in the team, having really poor central midfield, a fat left back, not really top quality right back, about one million attacking midfielders when only Mata plays in their formation... and one big overrated manager, Van Persie and Rooney are not enough to make them a great team.
