Markovic is really going to be a beast. Just sit and watch. Surely great signing by Liverpool. A bit biased here, but yeah...

Much necessary for Arsenal to have a capable holding midfielder after soo many ridicolous losses last season. They are finally building a proper title challenging team.
Saying so, almost all top teams have strenghted a lot too which is scary
Chelsea added a potent striker finally in Costa, and some more creativity in midifield in Cesc.
Man City signed up fantastic keeper in Willy And should have their CB problem fixed with the beast that is Mangala.
Liverpool is bit unknown, but Liverpool now is like Germany. A team without amazing solo player, but playing amazingly well together.
And then United who finally signed a decent midfilder in Herrea and decent left back in Shaw with more to come.
And not to say other who did very well, Saints with Tadic and Pelle, Newcastle with De Jong and Cabella etc.
And then Villa, Bendter, Senderos, Joe Cole Although with Jores Okore and Benteke returning from big injuries, it's like two proper new siginings these two.
If Costa plays anything like he did for Spain, Chelsea are going to be very disappointed in their purchase. He looked worse than Fred did.
Also, Liverpool have the best that is Markovic And I feel like they've really added to their Depth for playing in Europe as well as in case of any injuries which is often just as important as having strong players.
Southampton have Pelle who could either be amazing or be a complete bust. He'd fit better at Stoke imo
Well true, but I think Costa suits the way Mourinho wants to play. Atletico play hard football, a bit like Chelsea and Costa fits that. He'll be an improvement over Torres anyway
The big decision is what to do with Lukaku, keep him or let him go.
Markovic, if he does well I will be surprised. Not many eastern players do well in EPL, he'll need to bulk up first as well. We'll see though
Well the two signings Saints made, are like carbon copies of players they sold for me. Pelle is very similar to Lambert, strong, great header, slow. And Tadic for Lallana, not quickest, but great dribbler and creates chances. Good sinings, especially Lallana for 25 million is great deal I feel.

Liverpool also got Lallana. Might not be a huge name, but I liked him at Southampton and I think he'll fit Rodgers' system quite well.

I dont understand why a company would pay a team near 1 billion just so that they wear their shirt. I know people will wear it, buy it and give them exposure and stuff, but at the end of the day, they are the ones providing someone else with their product.
Its like paying someone to have your car. It just doesn't make sense.

As a Manchester City fan, I'm quite comfortable with the team for next season. We've signed some great players so far in this transfer window, Sagna for free, Fernando for £12 million and Zuculini for £1.5 million. I'm especially looking forward to see Fernando in the team, I'm sure he'll do great, just like Fernandinho did in his debut season.
It also looks like the transfer of Eliaquim Mangala will be announced within the next days, which in my opinion would be a great signing, and I think Kompany and Mangala would make a great partnership in the defence. There has been a lot of rumors linking either Benatia or Mangala to City, but I'm quite satisfied that it looks like Mangala is the one to be signed, although I wouldn't mind City signing Benatia.
I personally hope Yaya will stay, despite of all the the stupid rumors the media has started, he is simply irreplaceable.
But I wouldn't mind if City sold one of their strikers, 4 is a bit too many imo, I would prefer to keep Aguero, Negredo and Jovetic, despite the great effort Dzeko made in the last part of the season, he was, along with Yaya, the reason why we won the Premier League. I don't quite think he fits to the style of play in the current City team, he is a bit too slow, he has a lack of technique, not the best finisher, but damn he is good in the aerial duels, but that is not what we need.
My ideal City formation for next season would be:
Hart
Zabaleta | Kompany | Mangala | Kolarov
Fernando | Fernandinho
Nasri | Yaya Touré | Silva
Agüero
I personally hope, and honestly think, City will be the favourite for the title next season as well. As it currently stands with the signings made by ther other contenders, I think Chelsea will be the main challenger, they've done some pretty good signings as well, although I'm pretty confident Costa won't score the goals needed from a Chelsea striker, I'm not worried about him, in the same way I was last season when I saw Suarez in action for Liverpool.
Liverpool has done a lot of signings, but not any major signings imo which is needed. They've signed a lot of young players, who won't be able to compete among the best teams this year, but the team has definitely improved in the last couple of seasons, and the future is looking bright. I also think Liverpool won't be the same without Suarez, he simply carried the Liverpool throughout the season. I reckon Liverpool will finish in the top4.
Arsenal has signed Alexis Sanchez, which definitely is a great signing, but they still need another major signing if they want to be able to compete to win the Premier League imo.
Manchester United has spent around £60 million on Herrera and Shaw, which in my opinion is the worst signings, considering the money they've spent, made so far in the transfer window. Spending £30 million on a teenage left back is just ridiculous, and Manchester United sure need to step up, if they are looking to compete among the best teams this season.

Adidas projections are that they will sell shirts for 1.3billion so they will make up the money, add to that the marketing it gives, if their projections are correct it's a good deal for both |

anderspcm - I do agree that the prices for Shaw and Herrera are steep, but both players will add alot to the team. Herrera is exactly the kind of midfielder we have been lacking for many seasons, and Shaw gives us at the worst a solid LB for 10 years, if he fullfills his potential he will be world class... add to that the fact that we bring in £125m only on our shirts every year in during 10 years and you can clearly see that we can afford it |

I fully agree, need an experienced CB and another midfielder atleast... maybe another winger aswell but thats more of the cherry on the top. Alot of rumors (some pretty cridible ones actually today) saying that Vidal to United is close, stating the fee as low (well, you know with this market its low ) as £35M. I actually think we need a holding midfielder more, but hey, not like i'm going to be sad about getting the worlds best box-to-box midfielder after this last season.... kinda painful watching clevz, fellaini, bad-carrick (hope good-carrick is back soon) etc running around in the middle of the pitch doing nothing.
If the Vidal transfer goes through then i think that's a sign that LVG wants to play 4-3-3 most of the time with Carrick behind Herrera and Vidal, it does mean there is limited slots up front though and someone is going to be sad (Rooney/Kagawa/Mata)

If Arsenal sign Debuchy, Ospina and Khedira then they have a great chance of winning a few trophies this season. Debuchy seems like a good right back, Ospina is a solid Keeper and Khedira is world class.

Sadly enough there's only one Tony Hibbert
Sutty, who do you think would be the best option for our vacant striker spot? A new signing, Naismith or maybe even Koné?

If ur starting striker is going to be Naismith/Koné then ur going way down in the standings Everton always seems to do well in the transfer market though so i wouldn't be too worried, you guys will find a good striker. |
