That shot from the center circle when the team was pushing hard made me laugh. Deep down he is still with us

You seemed to ignore the second half of my post so Ill copy my message twice so if you zone out half way you will still get my point.
The CL is equivelent to the World Series, there is a baseball world cup which is never won by America, even though they try to fix the draw so that they can win.
Alsoi what would you prefer for the name? Name it after the trophey i.e. the super bowl. Nameed after the Federation running it i.e. the FA cup or UEFA cup (problem here?) or just name it after a sponsor sell it off to the highest bidder? because none of those seem particulary satisfactory to me.

I don't mind non-champions participating. I want the best matches with the best teams.
Also, since the English teams are winning fair and square, sure, that's okay. I'm just saying that it'd be more fun if Italian teams actually started winning |

yes but a rule limiting the foreigners of a team would be very much welcome.
It just doesn't feel right to see teams like Arsenal that don't give a shit to national players...

x3. And those long passes to Simão, who was in the opposite flank?

It's not about that....it's about which league has the most money.
Early 90s it was Serie A, so they were dominating. Late 90s-early 2000s it was La Liga, so they were dominating. Now it's the premier league, so they're dominating. Soon it'll be someone else.
The fact that Barça, Real, Juventus and Roma are all at the worst point in their seasons, plus the fact that Inter has a coach who is working with players he didn't choose and who have zero offensive creativity, don't help.

Well, if it wasn't for a defensive error (provoked by a smart movement by Rooney) Porto would be up 1-0 in Old Trafford. Half time, 1-1...
Man Utd have the worse defence I've seen this season... O'Shea and Evans are as useful as two posts in the middle of the field (and in O'Shea's case even the post has better on-ball skills) and Vidic has a hard time following anyone that runs faster than 10km/h, not to mention that he doesn't seem to know how to ruin without it being in a straight line.
Great attack but an awful defence. I know they have their share of injured players, but not even the Berlin Wall could help them...

No, Evans.
Edit: Evra actually is doing a nice job.

I have to say that backpass which led to the goal was one of the worst I've seen. Nonetheless, Porto really deserve to be in front and Man United are very lucky because they're making so many mistakes. Their defence is unrecognisable from most league games. |

It was, definitely.
Anyway, Man Utd will win this. Porto's manager seems to have put the team back in their own half, defending the result as he always does when the result is favourable. And always fails...

Old Trafford, Man Utd drawing with goals, of course the ref's gonna pull for Man Utd
Edit: 3 extra minutes given, took until the 95th minute for the ref to finish the game... Anyway, 2-2, decent result. It's all open for the next leg.

There was one injury that took about 2 min and there was Helton wasting time...
The ref was crap for both teams. The linesman on the right was blind. |

Helton wasted like 10sec, 45sec for the injury and the other minute?
Plus, there are no compensations on compensations. If the ref gives 3 minutes he can't give any more minutes than those.
Yes, the ref was crap for both teams but after Porto's 2nd goal he started pushing both teams towards Porto's defence... He would tell Hulk to get up and seconds later give a foul on the other side for the exact same thing... That last free kick was preposterous...

That was because of the crappy linesman and because the ref was miles away from every situation, he only saw half of them himself...
By the way, you can give compensations on extra time if there is an injury |

I don't know if the rule has changed since last year, but you couldn't then and I'm assuming it still is the same.
That was just one of the fouls, there were others. But anyway, he's Ronaldo so of course they will give him the foul.
