It's a matter of looking at the situation. The podium was almost secured, so when losing the podium to a worse rider, you can't be too happy. Of course, saying it's one huge disappointment may be an overreaction, but still -- 3rd place is gone
Looks like you might be getting it back though thanks to a stupid crash. I just hope Pellizotti doesnt abandon

Well at the moment, Im with you on the restart the stage vote I have no idea what is going to happen but if Pellizotti loses his deserved 3rd place that would suck.

all my leaders have crashed... I deserved this Giro win, I deserve more stage wins with Bennati and the points jersey. Those where already taken from me, now if Cunego loses more then 1'55 (which is the difference I believe) that would be the most unlucky thing and most undeserved thing ever in th man game...

lets wait the result but I more think it'd be foul now if I lost due to this crash in the final 2.3km of the race... |

It's all part of the game... I lost my captain before he even had a chance to score points... If I would've had him I would probably still be the PT leader after this race, but due to his crash I should be happy to be 3rd...
Cunego hasn't been nearly as strong as you thought, and you would lose ONE single place due to this crash! Rogers wouldn't have scored a single point more if he wasn't injured and Bennati also had his run if I don't remember wrong.
Mattiasgt lost Ghisalberti, who imo is FAR more important that you losing 1st place here...
Ofcourse it's CRAP to lose a race due to a crash, but if this stage should be restarted, then I call for a definitive new Giro because I lost my captain AND vice-captain! |

You really do seem to highly rate Caruso dont you SotD? Despite his past record. Has he ever got a top 10 in a GT in this management game in the past?

Ive remained quiet for the whole Giro, but if im going to say anything, i have to say that crashing on the last stage is a part of life really. I know its bad luck and terrible for you but we cant just call a restart because something went wrong.

Bennati would have had no problems winning mass sprints and points jersey, Rogers and Nocentini would have been great helpers to Cunego and both very well able to do a top 20 and thus score pro tour points. The Giro is by far the most important race for me in the season and I need to win it for my sponsor so it is far far far faaaaaar more important then ghisalberti or caruso |

No cliffhanger is complete until it's gone on far too long...

I have to say, this has been a really great Giro. It's been a great contest between Sella and Cunego, with the race swinging one way then another.
Great race for La Gazetta Dello Sport, because despite the crash, Cunego won the Giro pretty much alone whilst Erste (who won the team contest) supported Sella well.
Thanks for reading
