He has beaten a Brazilian driver. What the hell are Brazilians then doing in the real F1 world?

"It was another great quali session for me. Yes we are further down the order but there are big positives to take from today. First is that we are .3 of a second closer to the pole than we were at Silverstone. Second is that again i was faster than Dominic. The team is showing well early in the season. Dominic is team leader but we don't have orders for Quali inside the team. They tell me i can go as fast as i want. That happens, so far, to be a bit ahead of Dominic. Come the race i hope the team will allow me to run my own strategy."

@TMM: The pole lap at Silverstone was 1:38.183 and the pole lap at the Hungaroring is 1:27.332. Not strange that the gap is three tenths smaller. But of course Panico was just unbeatable at Silverstone.

Laotian top cyclist Lue Khamsé Khamphan wishes you best of luck for the season and will try to watch you when you race in France. Just because you don't follow EPIC.

Race Masters Evolved - Race 2 - Hungaroring - Race
Antonio Panico compensates his mistake from the qualification during the race. He won once again with a huge gap of 33 seconds to Joe Armstrong, who took a great second place after a bit disappointed seventh place in qualifying. Schumacher finished, just like in the qualification, one position lower than him: he ended up third.
Pole man Paul Rosanski rode a very disappointed race. He fell back and eventually ended on a ninth position. His teammate, who started third, finished on a sixth position. Once again Mohn is good on the Saturday but they lose a lot of positions on the Sunday.
The Favourites
Antonio Panico did a great job and won also the second race of this new race league. He was the strongest here and a real deserved winner. Mohn, which’s drivers had a good qualification, fell back. Antlers finished with two riders on the podium and that’s a very good result for the team which disappointed in Silverstone and here at the qualification.
The Dark Horse
And once again a Dunemonte car took a Top-5 position: Autumn Keselowski nearly missed the podium, although she was 21 seconds behind Schumacher. Dunemonte is by far the most inconspicuous team on the grid at the moment. Her teammate De Forest took a seventh place. The team is at the moment third in the team classification.
The Local Heroes
Jakab Zoltan disappointed a bit. He finished on a 12th position but he really hoped to score points in his home race. It should’ve be possible but things didn’t turn out well for him. At least he finished the race this time which is good for him. His next step is taking points, which should be possible in Austria.
The Local Team
Angelo Racing really disappointed this weekend. After a double points finish at Silverstone they hoped to score points again, but none of the drivers came even close to it. Raue had a very good qualification but his race ended very early because of a crash. His teammate Jensson finished on a 13th position. They both were very disappointed of course, but maybe this is the hard reality: maybe the double points finish at Silverstone was luck and is this the real position where they are.
Top-3 Press Conference
Antonio Panico: “What did I say? We are really unbeatable and I took the victory with a huge gap. Okay, my teammate finished only fifth and I lapped him, but he’s also not as good as I am. I think I really can become the first champion of this race league and maybe I can win it the next few years again. You say that’d be boring? I just do my job and I want to do what I currently do: winning.”
Joe Armstrong: “I’m very happy with this second place. I have to say I was a bit disappointed after the qualification yesterday but this really made my weekend. Panico is just too good at the moment so this is the best available position then. I’m really proud on it and I hope it compensates my blunder from Silverstone, when I crashed while leading the race. I hope to be on the podium again next race. Don’t write of this ‘old’ driver.”
Sebastian Schumacher: “To be fair, this is just the position where we have to be. Nothing less. Our car is good enough for it but it didn’t came out of it at Silverstone, although Joe lead the race there. I’m happy to be on the podium and I hope I’ll be here often this season. Panico is strong but I don’t think he’s unbeatable, which showed Rosanski yesterday. I hope that someone will beat him next weekend, and I prefer to be that person myself.”
Race Facts and Interviews
- Autumn Keselowski drives to a solid fourth position in a weekend where she was always faster than her teammate and Dunemonte’s number one driver Dominic De Forest.
Autumn Keselowski: “I’m very happy with this result. My qualification was already very good. I beat Dominic there and also today I beat him in the race, while I also gained one position. I’m very happy with this result.”
Dominic De Forest: “It’s not nice when the team’s second driver beats you the whole weekend, but Autumn was just faster than me. I couldn’t pick up the right pace all weekend and then I’m very happy that I’ve finished in the points on a seventh position, in front of for example pole man Rosanski. I hope to beat Autumn next race but I’m happy we both take the points for the team, because we really need them.”
- Moreno Costa got lapped by his teammate.
Moreno Costa: “Well, I actually feel a bit ashamed about this. Lapped by my teammate. He’s strong but I didn’t expect such a huge gap between us. Well at least I took some points this race but next race I want to be on the podium again.”
- Mohn Rennsport once again has trouble on Sunday.
Justin Clark: “My finish position was better than at Silverstone but I don’t feel like celebrating yet. A sixth and ninth position are just not good enough. This really has to be better. Our one-lap pace is very good according to the qualifications, but we’ve had bad luck on the Sundays. Next race we really have to improve the Sunday because otherwise we lose sight on the title and that’s the last thing we want.”
Paul Rosanski: “Starting on pole, finishing just in the points on a ninth place. What a shame. And I even got lapped. This feels very bad. I’m happy I finished the race this time but this isn’t what I expected. It has to be better, especially because our qualifications are good. I’ll feel very bad now until the next race, because then we really have to be there.”
- Both Travinski cars finished in the points. A nice result for the Russian team.
Ricciardo Gambino: “I think my fourth position last race was luck but an eight position is a bit where we are standing currently. I’m happy to take once again points and it’s also nice to see my teammate taking points as well. I hope to be in the points next time as well.”
James Day: “I’m very happy to take my first championship point. After Ricciardo’s fourth place last race I really got motivated to take my first points as well and I’m happy I took one this weekend. Hopefully I’ll take some next race as well and it’d be nice if it’s more than one, but I have to be happy with all the points I take.”
Drivers’ Quotes
“I almost took my first points, so it should be possible next race.”
(Martin Lloyd after his eleventh place)
“Thanks for coming!”
(Jakab Zoltan thanks the Hungarian public for cheering on him this weekend)
“That journalist from last race laughed because I didn’t finish in the points. I’ve kicked his ass!”
(Kurt Jensson got trouble with the media)
“Unbelievable!”
(Gilberto Coutinho after he didn’t finish his second race in a row)
“I really hoped for more.”
(But Timothy Raue’s race ended very soon in the wall)
“Lol I still outraced my teammate”
(Nick van der Valde watches the positive side of first his DNF)
“Depressing...”
(Ounheua Khochaleune expected more from his entrance at the Race Masters Evolved)

Not as great as the first race, but 7th is still good enough to be 4th in the ranking so I'm happy. Autumn was fast so if Domonic can get to that point and beyond it I can see a good season. |

I beat Dominic there and also today I beat him in the race, while I also gained one position. I’m very happy with this result.
I made a good start and by staying ahead of Dominic in the first stint it allowed me to run the strategy i planned with my engineer. From there it was easy to push onwards and maintain a steady pace to score a good number of points.
Dominic isn't too happy following the weekend and if i go quicker again in Austria there might be some problems arising. Still we've got some time before then where we can go over the gathered data in more detail."

Good race for Antlers. It would have been excellent if there wasn't Panico but 2 guys on the podium are still great.

A crash, really.
And the teams really should have been a bit more even. Or we should have been told which team is absolutely crap and which ones arent.
