Saxo would be great obviously, but what about Tour ambitions there, Contador/Kreuziger or Sagan?
Doubt they will have to worry about Kreuziger next season.
I really don't see how they build a team around both Sagan and Contador unless one of them doesn't get full support.
You mean because of suspension? Could be, we will see.
Sagan riding without full support would not be something new to him, he is riding without full support since he joined Cannondale.
But yeah, it would be strange to have two "leaders". But for the future, Sagan is better bet than aging Alberto.

Tinkov said that next year they will have two objectives:
1.to win the tour
2.to win the green jersey
That can easily lead to loosing both of it.
Are you sure? The climbers Contador brings as helpers will also help Sagan a lot in hilly stages. I am not sure, however, wether Contador will be able to deal with his age next year |

Yes suspension!
I don't disagree that he can ride without support but with the way other teams are riding against him he deserves to have a team with him in mind, agree the Contador is ageing and Sagan is a better bet but the Tour is the Tour and winning the overall is what they are after. I think Contador has one more shot at winning that race anyway so having Sagan there is certainly something they would be after and anyway if they do sign him and recruit some good helpers then he might have a better shot in the classics.

According to De Telegraaf LLS has signed for Astana for next season.
This has to be the funniest transfer of the year if it happens. Mostly due to what happened with Pellizoti's transfer this year to Astana.
On other hand, EBH would be good transfer to Astana. Vino may teach him how to properly ride a bike. And probably, he'll be still handsomely payed there.
It's funny though, in his last year of the deal he's about to have his shtittest season for the team, doesn't happen often in cycling, usually other way about.

So, now I'm glad to finally have some news on Team Bora (am I the only one excited about it?)
We were pretty good with our predictions. Alexander Krieger (Team Stuttgart), Gregor Mühlberger (Tirol) and Patrick Konrad (Gourmetfein Simplon Wels) will ride for the team as stagiaires. One German, two Austrians, in my opinion three good signings.
On that Sagan/Contador thing: Though it might seem possible to have a team for both, I would not say you could to that. Because we saw the whole Cannondale team chasing for whole stages when they considered Sagan the favourite. Controlling a race alone would become impossible with also Contador in the team, so Sagan would be not really a leader anymore, I think. I can't imagine a Lotto-solution as well, because Contador won't like only two domestiques or so.
By the way, I hope Astana won't sign LLS. They should really think about their image in terms of doping, so this seems to be a bad one imo.

When you have Vinokourov as your team manager no one is going to believe your team is committed to riding clean anyway.

What Count said + i think that Vino and Astana does not give a shit about their reputation, winning is much more important and they will hardly have some "sponsor problems" because of it...

His age? He is 31 right now. That really shouldn't be a problem just yet. Also Sagan for Saxo is a great match. Sagan doesn't need helpers on flat stages, he really just need helpers to keep things together so he doesn't have to jump into stupid breakaways with 15kms to go.

31, yeah but already many years "on top", so it cant last forever. I think he has some good years in front of him, but not a Horner.

I think Mollema should stay at Belkin because he has more reliable helpers in Ten Dam and Gesink than Frank Schleck and Kiserlovski
There is no sponsor, what will he do there.
Bauke Mollema is going as leader to TFR. It will be good for him.
Also Schleck brothers are unlikely to get a contract. They do not have single UCI WT points yet. Zubeldia is getting old.
That leaves Zoidl, Arredondo and Kiserlovski as only climbers and potential GC hope, while Mollema is like proven GC contender. |

Cadel won when he was 34 and Wiggo won at 32, so it is indeed possible

Yeah, but they have not been winning GTs since being 25 years old like Alberto

Plus Cav and Wiggo were friends, or at least acquaintances. Cav played dometique in the mountains, and Wiggo led out Cav on the Champs. They only lasted a year as well... |

Rasmus Guldhammer will join Tinkoff-Saxo as stagiaire and will most likely be put into action at Tour of Colorado and Tour of Britain

I really hope that Rasmus does good things there: he used to be one of my favourite cyclists and seeing his path go the way it went, was sad for me, since I always thought he had the talent for more. Hopefully, he will show his talent at Tinkoff and get a contract there. |
