Hard not to feel bad for the bus driver - he must feel awful. Even if it was his fault, ultimately (vehicle driver should be in control of their vehicle in navigating the roads), it's easy to see how it could happen.
It was eleven more than necessary.

I guess sometimes here some users are more stupid than all those dopers in cycling together..
People with dumb comparisons, people wishing X to crash or insulting riders..
EDIT: Watching around the german internet sites I hope for tomorrow morning because all I see are just small boxes "German won first Tour de France stage".
I guess all those doping stuff hurted German cycling more than I thought.
But at least "some" coverage. If there wasn't Eurosport here wouldn't run anything cycling related on TV ever. :S

What part of he was told "to keep moving forward" is that you do not understand?
If someone told you jump out from a cliff would you do that?
That comeback line is so original that you left me speechless.
It should, coz it was so obvious he wasnt gonna fit, it wasnt even close.
By the way. it was THE worst stage of TdF or even a Grand tour since I can remember. Ridiculous. |

Sporza has full results as well, but will they count?

Shut up.
You lot clearly havent got a driving licence. But thats not relevant to Tour de France.
Obviously I don't. Only people who wan't to jump a cliff got drivers license. That I drive 50.000km pr. year doesn't mean that I'm allowed to do so.
Don't know what hit you in the head, but take a nap for a while and let us be. You clearly aren't well.

Mollema bruised and grazed, but not badly hurt according to some people on Twitter.

Oh I've seen far worse. Landis big ride to the stratosphere? The '96 shortened stage with Riis? Plenty of others.
It's all very unfortunate and worse (for those, like Martin, who are majorly affected) and a bad start to such a big event but 'worst ever' is a bit much, no?
It was eleven more than necessary.

It seems that they reached a "gentleman's" agreement that all have same time |

Kittel said in an interview he knew nothing about the change, and rechange in the finishing line. |

Why do you think? The finish was at 0, went to 3, back to 0...
The fall was at 4.5 so within 3km of 3 km, and since they don't have a timething on 6....

Did you not watch the stage? Or read the 'commentary' here? Madness at the finish line which was moved twice as a result. It would be very uneven/unfair to give literal times in such a scenario.
It was eleven more than necessary.

Anyway, Kittel is the winner. Maybe he had luck, but he has beaten Cavendish and Greipel this year, so know question about his victory, he was the best and the luckiest today, so he deserved it... (sorry about my english, ) |

Of the GC contenders, I believe these avoided the crash as they finished in the front group:
Peraud
Evans
Vandenbroeck
Cunego
Valverde
Porte
Froome
Fuglsang
Purito
Quintana
