This is just not fair! Gesink finally switched his style, going for a stage-win, was close, and WHAM Mechanical.
Hmmppff...

So come on, why the heck does Gesink have this bad luck... Okay, he probably wouldn't have won it, but this is some crazy BS....
Intxausti did great. And I totally enjoy Kiserlovski loosing this much time. He deserves this, after wheelsucking at Gesink sunday and letting his team do a crazy chase today.

Relax, it's not like he would've won a sprint anyway. He would've got beaten by all three 10/10 times.

Gesink fails and everybody happy?
What has he done to make him so unpopular, here? |

He would have beaten Niemiec easily there

Intxausti read that sprint brilliantly. He seemed to not follow Niemiec as hard as he could, letting Kangert shut it down then used Kangert's slipstream to launch him a good few bike lengths ahead before anyone else knew what hit them. Really well read for someone who isn't a sprinter at all.

I know, but I can dream.
And the sprint wasn't that fast anyway, had a good chance of a podium for me. But it's just that this always happens to Gesink. Finally he learned to attack again, but meh. This.

I don't dislike him and I'm not happ. I just find it funny that he always finds a way to shoot himself in the foot. Whatever you think of how talented he is, he is certainly the least lucky rider in the peloton.

Yes, Katusha and Radioshack did the dick moves really. One assumes they hope for a top ten and with Santambrogio struggling they may pick him off.
Speaking of Santambrogio, hard to believe how badly he climbed that one. Perhaps he doesn't like the sunshine? He was one guy I thought could hurt Nibali. The Lampre's look a bit of a handful as of course does Betencur, that was one hell of an acceleration at the end of the climb.
But Nibali looked very calm there, Evans for me looked a little weak but maybe the old head was calculating. Uran looked marginally better.

Forget about timing. When's the last time you've seen anyone like this? Keep on attacking, dying, attacking, dying, attacking... (Except Gaudin in Paris - Roubaix)
Really love the man here, deserves that KoM jersey 100%! |
