And he still managed to switch them down a few hundreds metres later, to outsprint Scarponi and Betancur, so it's a bit hard to believe, even though I admit it was weird that he didn't even try to answer Purito's attack.

Some kind of agreement between Rodriguez and Valverde: "you attack first, I do nothing, and when you get caught, I'll attack"?? But tii be honest, don't think so. Think Valverde hadnt got the legs to answer Purito's attack, and outsprinted Scarponi and Betancur on the flat last 250m.

Wow a nice excuse for it's podium. Surely third place with an electric gear problem is possible.Rolling Eyes

He didn't have any problems with it on top of Saint-Nicolas.

Ah, he was just being Valverde. Hoping that others will chase so that he can take the sprint.
