The BOTD was caught and with 5 kms to go the sprint "trains" were formed.
Cannondale was there for Viviani , Garmin for Farrar and FDJ for Bouhanni. Trentin was trying to stay in Pettachi's wheel but the speed was too high !
Ventoso sprinted from Viviani's wheel and took the win !

Today there will be a hilly stage . 3 cat 2 climbs and the only HC climb in the whole tour - Alt de la Pedraforca , so we expect a tough day !
We thought it was a good chance for the break-away to win so we sent Devenyns . Unfortunately , no other rider joined him so he rode solo for 120 kms ! The good part is that he won all the climbs and he will have big chances of winning the KOM Standings ( Red Jersey )
Joy beat Andy Schelck in an uphill sprint ! For a moment i really thought that Andy could win a race !

As you can see in the pictures the weather in reallt bad . It rained and there were like 10 degrees Celsius . Unfortunately Vermote, Trentin , Grabsch , Golas and Pauwels got ill and they had to abandon . Velits finished 40 mins behind Roy and he was DQ-ed . So we only have Devenyns and Verona in the race !
A 4-man break-away was formed by : Dennis Van Niekerk, Anthony Roux, Ioannis Tamouridis and Denis Menchov . The break was successful , they had 4 minutes with 25 kms to go, when the cat 2 climb started . The peloton accelerated but it was not enough to catch Van Niekerk , who won the stage .

The route was hilly and we considered it was a smart choice to get in the BOTD . Devenyns attacked and he was joined by Montaguti , Gretsch , Kaisen , Didier , Grivko , El Fares and Losada .
Something strange happened , the peloton kept riding fast . Our biggest lead was of 2 minutes and we were caught with 80 kms to go . Then T.Peterson attacked and he rode solo for a big win for Argos !
The stage will end up in Barcelona and it is the only one with an uphill finish . The last 2kms have an average of almost 10% !
Again the break was successful . Rubén Pérez , Pim Ligthart, Nacer Bouhanni , Alberto Losada, Vicente Reynès and Sergio Pardilla fought for the stage win . Despite the tough uphill finish no riders were albe no create a gap in the peloton .

We did not manage to get a stage win even if there were 3 successful break-aways in this tour , but we got at least the KOM Jersey ! Our last races in March will be : Dwaars Door Vlandereen , E3 Prijs and Gent-Wevelegem ! SEE YOU IN BELGIUM !
It's time for the Flandres Classics to begin ! The first race will be Dwars Door Vlaanderen . It is a 1.HC classic , that has almost 200 kms and 7 sectors of cobbles .

Niki Terpstra is the winner from last year so we expect some good results from him and Chavanel !

The race
A break-away was formed early . Peter Serry was there, with Polazzi , Tiernan-Locke , Hpeburn , Voss , Teuns , Di Luca, De Buyst and Verkinderen . After 20 kms Veilleux joined us . Our maximum lead was of 8 minutes at the half of the race.
After a sector of cobbles where the peloton upped the pace only Terpstra , Chavaenl , Devolder , Cancellara , Flecha , Vanmarcke , Wynants and Rast remained in the first group . The break-away was caught , including Serry, but Veilleux still had a 2-minute lead .
Our group was coming fast , but Veilleux was holding on !
Terpstra attacked and forced the RadioShack guys to do all the work in the chasing group .
Niki almost joined Veilleux . Cancellara himself was working to catch the leading duo ! Meanwhile Chavanel was resting .
On the last portion of cobbles Cancellara was amazing ! He caught Veilleux and Tepstra by doing all the work and he kept going ! Only Chavaenl , Vanmarcke and Flecha could follow . The 4 riders entered the last 5kms with a comfortable lead .
Chavavel lauched his sprint with 2 kms to go and caught everybody by surprise . Flecha and Vanmarcke looked at Cancellara , they expected him to do all the work and catch Chava , but it seemed that Spartacus was out of energy !
Chavanel keeps his small lead in the last km and took the win !

Next : the report from E3 Prijs - Boonen will be back racing after his MSR win !
This is probably the best rehersal before the Ronde : E3 Prijs ! . It recently became a WT classic ,so the competition will be tougher than last years . Boonen has 5 wins here - the most in the history of this race ,including a success last year , so he will be looking to defend his title and claim a 6th win !

The race
A 5-man break-away was formed by : Lastras , Ellisonde, Kelderman, Jans and Vorobyev . Their maximum lead was of 6 minutes , when the peloton started to climb on the Muur !
Thanks to Vandenbergh and Steegmans we set up a very high pace .
A major selection was made . In the first group there were 14 riders , including 7 from OPQS . Things were looking great for us !
After 20 kilomters the break-away was caught , but also our group was caught by the rest of the peloton . There were now like 40-50 riders in front . With 60 kilometers to go 5 riders attacked : G.Thomas ,Commeyne , Barbe , Chainel and Ladagnous ! They their gap got to 1 minute 20 seconds RadioShack started to chase them .
After a few sectors of cobbles only the best riders remained in the main group . The G.Thomas group was caught . We were now on Patenberg . Vanmarcke set an impressive pace !
On the next sector of cobbles Vanmarcke and Cancellara attacked . We immediately started to chase thanks to Terpstra and Vandenbergh .
A 5-man group was behind Vanmarcke and Cancellara : Chavanel , Bononen , Gilbert , Sagan and Pozzato . Chavanel attacked , forcing the other 3 riders to do the work . In this way Boonen would rest .
5 kms to go - Chavanel , Boonen and Sagan were only 20 seconds behind the first group . Anything can happen !
Boonen was the only one capable to join Vanmarcke and Cancellara ! With 2.5 kms to go the Blanco rider started his sprint . He created a small gap but Tom was confident he could catch Sep !
200 Meters to go - Vanmarcke was caught . Spartacus vs Tomeke . Who will win ???

Tom Boonen has 3 wins here , he will be looking for his 4th , that would make him the rider with the most wins in the history of the race ! We also have the option with Cavendish, if Mark can remain in the first group after the climbs .

The race
A 8-man break-away was formed . With 100 kms to go 4 riders attacked from the peloton : Haussler , Burghadt , Popovych and Chainel . They managed to catch the early break-away .
After some climbs only a small group remained from the peloton . Thankfully , Cavendish was there , together with Steegmans , Boonen , Chava and Terpstra .
We caught the break with 30 kms to go . Then Cancellara attacked . He immediately created a 1-minute gap !
We formed our train : Steegmans - Chavenel - Boonen - Cav.
Sagan was also there .
Chavanel attacked in the last 10 kms hoping he could catch Cancellara . Gilbert joined him .
3 kilometers to go and Boonen came in front . Sagan was also there . Mark was really suffering because of the high speed . Cancellara only had 30 seconds in front of us .
Chavanel was caught , but Cancellara was still in front . Can Mark catach him ?
Cancellara was caught . Van Avermaet and Saramotins were in front . Mark was really struggling to keep the pace .
, but this is his first race of the season and his fintess is around 65 . I doubt he can do something ! 
The good part is that he won all the climbs and he will have big chances of winning the KOM Standings ( Red Jersey )
