Well, the best song finished 2nd, and with Sweden and Norway doing good also. The best show won, but when it was sang by a born male or female / not a woman with a beard / a man who wants to be a woman / whatever I should call him/her, it would've finished 12th or so.
Am I the only one who thinks Austria won because people want to send a political message? I personally have nothing against the song or gays for that matter, but I can't help but suspect there has been mass voting from certain groups because of all the media attention he has gotten.
It wouldn't surprise me if the show will take another turn now where certain artists just go further and further to shock and create media attention hoping for a similar result.

I'm really happy for the Netherlands, I wasn't sure whether country works in this contest, but it was a great atmospheric song and it grew on me instantly. Glad it wasn't only me.

Funny thing about the Dutch song, that when it got revealed, the majority of the Dutch, including me, started protesting cause it was pretty dull. But it grew, and developed into a great song. So these 2 great Dutch artists just knew what they were doing.
Also thanks to the Baltic countries for giving us 12 points.

I actually don't give a f*ck about the Eurovision, but I've watched the hand out of the points. Hoped that the Netherlands could win, but unfortunately Austria was better. They didn't have a bad song at all. And I really had to laugh at that guy from Ukrain(?) with his 'It's time to shave'. Also that woman from Austria who gave the points was funny with her fake beard.
Funny that nobody in the Netherlands like the song (or at least there was a lot of criticism on it) and that we (or better said: they) finished second.

Exactly how I see it. I am actually on Eastern side this time (not that I agree with most of East opinions). I never supported these meterosexuals (let call her/him like that). I mean, you're born with a penis and you're supposed to be a guy, how on earth can you transform to a girl and even keep the beard? That's just not normal. To put aside that their song was crap, compared to some other songs that were pretty low on the scoreboard at the end.
I am pretty sure Conchita used this image below as a motivation before Semi-Finals and Finals.
