GRAND PRIX LA MARSEILLAISE
Marseille – Marseille – 138.9km
Julien Antomarchi
Rubens Bertogliati
Laszlo Bodrogi
Remy Cusin
Julien El Fares
Vegard Stake Laengen
George Preidler
Martijn Verschoor
Five riders secured an early breakaway from the pack and have steadily built an advantage of 3m 17s, they are F.Mourey/FDJ, G.Malle/Veranda Rideau, D.Veilleux/Europcar, T.Skujins/La Pomme Marseille and J.Paiani/Saur Sojasun
The lead has been increased slightly mainly due to the fact that the peleton hasn't woken up yet
The break is still working very well together as news filters through that the peleton has finally woken up thanks to the Katusha Team
Matthew Hayman/Sky Procycling has escaped from the pack and is laying down a fast pace as he tries to catch up with the five leaders a little bit further up the road
As the capture of the break is about to be made numerous attacks come from within the peleton
Kolobnev/Katusha leads the peleton under the 10km to go banner as everything is all back together once again
Kolobnev/Katusha still powers on at the front as a number of riders just sit in behind him waiting for the right moment to make a move
A lead group of nineteen riders have made it to the red kite, the winner will definitely come from within this group barring any incidents
And Grega Bole of Lampre times it just right to grab the win away from the others

Well what can i say, Most of the guys who represented us here today came in to this race with hardly any fitness at all and it showed.
The result could have been a lot worse but could also have been a lot better, we will just put a line under this one and move on

Well with riders not in a good shape would be very difficult to win the race, surely this wasn't a good day for the team. Hope there will be day a lot better for all! |

It's a shame that nobody of TT1 was in the front group
But as you said, forget this on go on
