Paint.NET will be enough for a first try.
You should resize sponsors by placing them in a new file and then resize them using Image > Resize

phillywilly, if you were to try and get better then try to move on to Gimp or Photoshop. Paint.net is a good place for a first try. |

Cool, I guess it's kind of trial and error really.
I'll try the resize technique hopefully it will have better results and then I will try photoshop or Gimp.
Thanks for your help guys |

Had a go at making a banner out of boredom, first one in a while:

Got inspiration from Kruse's banners.

Nice work, although it's Philippe, not Phillipe.

Thanks
Also made a Ciolek banner and a new avatar for myself in the same style. Prefer the Gilbert one though.

Edit:
and did a couple of userbars for myself:

You mean the yellowish glow? It's made by Gaussian blur. The diagonal lines are a pattern. |

Good Day FroomeDog99
You have a very nice talent. Can I also request a banner of Luca Polini the moment he won Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. I like the style of Gilbert's banner, just put the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad 2013 winner under his name
I would really appreciate it.
Also in making your very nice jerseys, what plis/templates are you using? I am on the verge of trying and making my own fantasy jerseys as well. I tried paint.net but honestly Photoshop produces very nice quality IMHO.

Thanks guys
@vismitananda - I'll do it today. For jerseys I use the cyanide plis, and Gimp which is a good free alternative to photoshop. |

Wow, can't wait for the finish product. I did also tried GIMP, but I'm having a hard time using it.
Can you post your plis here? If it's OK with you, I would like to have a copy of it.
Thank you

No problem
I don't have a TT plis currently, so you'll have to find that somewhere else. |
