GP Ouest France - Plouay
On this WT race the sponsors are expecting a fifth place and the team manager has lined up a strong team to achieve it with Valverde, Costa, Lastras and Intxausti. But it should be the team sprinter Ventoso to fight for the win.
A long hard race...
With 30km to go the 3 men break is almost caught. Everybody is still holding on the peloton.
With 10km to go Nuyens and Cancellara attack with Hunter, Ladagnous, Favilli and the Movistar quartet following: Lastras, Valverde, Costa and Ventoso.
And 4 km to go and Valverde reaches the front, working to Ventoso with Costa on the middle.
And a great win to Ventoso, with a wonderful work by his team!!

Great win, stylish
btw I just read 2 nice stories about Agostinho:
Spoiler 1. On Puy de dôme in 1971 some riders (Ocana and Zoetemelk I think) took advantage of Merckx' hard work and then rode away. Agostinho had a lot of admiration for Merckx and stayed with him, he says. I like that.
2. On Mont Ventoux 1970, Eddy Merckx was climbing a deadly pace and apparently the very last one to let go was Agostinho.
Seems like a decent lad and an iron strong climber
