I can take that one

lets leave this behind.. I also getting a bit frustrated to see when green will be decided again in office

If Goss would just have sprinted in a straight line, he would have avoided the risk of relegation.
And to be honest I doubt the green jersey will be won/lost by this 2 point margin.

Looks like Goss and Sagan just switch places. At least according to the Tour's website.

This would be fair. It was intentional from Goss, but i would like to see the battle continue, because nobody will be able to say that this was the moment that decided it (if there will not be 2 points difference in the end) Smile

4 point swing (-2 Goss/+2 Sagan) Smile

The Overall and the Stage Results are frustratingly confused. Goss and Sagan have switched positions in the Stage Results, yet in the Overall Goss has lost all of those sprint points from the finish.

Personally I would like to see them just switch positions and points earned, but I'll frustratingly go with whatever the Commissars decide.

Does make you wonder if he would have been relegated without the overt protest but I'm not getting into an argument as to whether it was justified or not Pfft

ITV cycling tweets:

"Correction on Goss ruling: Relegated one place to 7th and so still scores the points for that place."

1 second gap gives a get out of jail free card!

Probably a jealous French fan Wink

I see that horrible disease called Francophobia isn't exclusive to Spain.
It isn't. Believe me, I was already around in 2005 when Armstrong got "caught" by L'Équipe. It was a hard time being French with Americans and Armstrong fans posting around.
Sour grapes for them a couple of years later, though. Cool

As well he got 30 points deduction in points jersey classification. Battle for green is basically over now...

That sounds ridiculous.

Classic TDF stuff. I'm sure it'll change a dozen of times again before tomorrow's stage.

Such a mess. The should just take away from him the points of the 6th place, and that's it. No need to make it complicated.

Malkael
Despite how confusing it appears that would be correct it would seem. Goss swaps positions with Sagan, gains 13 points, and then promptly loses 30 points as a penalty alongside relegation.

So in the end Goss actually loses -17 points overall. (Source: Twitter @wielerman)

Can't say I'm surprised by their decisions anymore but a real shame it's totally dead in the water now.

That is complete and utter bullshit. I'm not even joking, that's fucking stupid. Interest in sprints over now.

I've always tried to be very "British" rather than overly "Scottish" but seeing Millar taking this stage has made me so much happier than seeing Wiggins' and Froome's exploits so far!

Now for Wiggins and Froome to hold on, and Cav to win on Champs Elysees for the perfect Tour Smile But next year I do hope Contador comes back and whips all their asses!

Not trying to be an ass or anything, but Millar is maltese Pfft
He just got a scottish passport (on account of his scottish grandmother) so he could represent a big country
