I gotta be honest with you guys it might be early but I am liking the looks of the Thunder this year!
Spoiler Kind of giving up on the Dolphins even though they are 4-4, too many problems inside the team and they are sucking tonight.

Thunder are strong indeed, i thought that Martin leaving would hurt them lot more, it seems that Reggie Jackson and Jeremy Lamb are enough power from the bench so far.
If KD, Westbrook and Ibaka will remain healthy throughout the campaign and especially playoffs, i can see them with their hands on the trophy. But Spurs, Clippers and Warriors will stay in their way.

So what about CP3 and his new NBA record? 12 straight double doubles to start the season, epic player! Arguably the best of point guards of all-time, right there with Magic and John Stockton i think.
Clippers are so good to watch, he runs the offense perfectly and Doc is guiding it much better than former coach.

I have to genuinely express my entertainment in D-Rose getting hurt again and out for the season after all the Chicago fan-boys said that he would come back to be MVP and win a ring... 10 games later.. bye D-rose

Yeah, it is a bit funny, on the other hand, it is sad to see that much talented guy so hindered by injuries.
Clippers destroyed them completely yesterday, by 39 points,CP3 with 17assists, i love that guy.

Still not as bad as Royce White.

Lol at "my" Knicks... I somehow love all those self destructive decisions this franchise has made over the last 10-15 years

Rockets getting blown out by the Pacers.
If Harden can't get the calls then the whole game gets messed up.

Pacers are a very good team though... They are one of the Power 4... (Miami, Indiana, Oklahoma City, San Antonio)

Pistons are all over the place this season. Come from 20 points behind to beat the Celtics then 2 days later blow a 20 points lead to the Bobcats.
Also beat Miami and Pacers on the road... This doesn't make any sense.
Josh Smith just takes up shots whenever he feels like it, I'm starting to get that frustration the Hawks fans were talking about. And KCP is going to bust, he stuggles to make shots. We drafted him to make shots...
I still wish we took Trey Burke, and then have Jennings play SG.

Harden is the new era Anthony, black hole on offense, doesn't really play defense. No team will ever win a championship with him. Probably can make the playoffs, but a first round bounce should be expected.
(I do need to specify no team will win with him as the feature player)

I think Jennings is the cancer of this team. I wish they never traded for him. He sucks at defending (especially the pnr) and on offense, more than a few times, he keeps the ball till the and of the shot clock and chucks threes. Bynum is way better at running the pnr. Even his assists are looking selfish.
I agree, Josh Smith takes a lot and I mean A LOT of bad shots but he is also a very good defender (he basically shut down Paul George a week ago), and is good going in the paint on offense.
I don't know what to say about KCP. I think the fact surrounded by 2 selfish players in Jennings and Smoove and by two big guys in Monroe and Drummond hurts his development a lot. I actually his defense it's going to be his main strength. I remember also wanting to draft Burke. I don't know how he plays as I've not seen any Jazz games but with Stuckey playing so well this year it might've been a better decision to draft him maybe.
DRUM is going to be elite though and I think we should trade Monroe asap to free the Smoove/Drum pairing.
I also hate Mo Cheeks. I think he's an idiot lol. By most accounts he's a really nice guy but he DOESN'T COACH. He just stares and claps and says "Let's go."
Glad I went to sleep at halftime last night or I might've wake up all my neighbors. |

I agree with most of that. At least Jennings has a chance to make his crazy shots unlike Smith. He can either carry the team like he did against Boston or sink the team like he did against the Bobcats.
Also, I would keep Monroe and trade Smith for a true SF. Moose is only 23 and could easily surprise Smith's talent in a few season.
I'm glad somebody else on the forum can share my frustrations.

Agreed. He doesn't seem to care to play D, and he's not that elite player that everyone makes him out to be, especially local media. Sure he's probably a top 3 SG in the NBA but won't carry a team to a title.
And now, they have a shitload of dead money thanks to Omer Asik.

Jennings can either win or lose you the games against the Cats or Celtics but it's Smith that can play like a superstar against teams like Miami and Indiana. Maybe I'm just hating on Jennings but I believe he doesn't have room for improvement while, with a good coach, Smith would stop or at least minimize the number of bad shots he takes. Jennings is also 2nd in time of possesion: https://stats.nba....tOrder=DES
This discussion is futile since we are stuck with them and their contracts for the next 3 years. Also next years rookie class is going to be insane so another reason to hate on Dumars.
I also like Monroe, but as I said Smith isn't going anywhere and that BIG lineup just doesn't produce enough spacing which is the main reason we suck so much at the end of games. Stuckey is basically the only who can create spacing then. |

That's a nice stat right there.
Trades or not I still believe they could make a run in the postseason. I'm not giving up on them just yet. It's the Detroit curse that's actually going to help them. The ability play awful and loses against bad teams but then turn around and shock the world by beat the teams they shouldn't.
It's just how it works.

Looks like Westbrook is going to be out for some time now. The West is Portland's to lose now...
And the All-Star voting is so stupid. KOBE BRYANT? WTF! He shouldn't even be eligible to be voted on. I also don't agree with Blake Griffin as #3, I think Aldridge deserves it more. But that isn't outrageous, just depends on who you ask. I'm fine with the East roster though.

That's actually a good move, since they're going to fight for Melo next year. I really hope they're going to realase Bynum, but i doubt it. Bynum + Boozer (at the end of the season) = Melo. Easy math for them.
