Why the hell, is Albania able to send riders to this race, even two?
They were last and second to last.
61.Tyron Giorgieri +11'18"
62. Simone Zignoli +17'43"
Why wouldn't they? A nice experience for those guys.

Domination. Not very surprising, though.

I think should make a B-category World Championships for those riders. |

But then you would have to create another one for the ones who are last next year, and so on. It's a slippery slope, someone will always be last. |

Both are not Albanians. They are Italians who have paid for an Albanian passport and paid the cycling union there to be able to ride the WCH. Albania has better riders than them, true albanians, but ofcourse they didn't bribe the national union |

People come to see the best TT-ist in the world. Not the local mailman from Albania. |

So that's why their names didn't sound too Albanian-like.

I didn't have any problem to watch Martin TT. It's not like I had an Albanian guy (well, Italian it seems ) in the middle of my TV preventing me from it?

That's even worse. I think I'll buy myself an Albanian passport then so I can compete too. |

Just came home to see Martin winning gold.
2nd gold for Germany in the ITT this year. Couldn`t be much better.
And with Greipel, Ciolek, Kittel, Degenkolb... they have still great options for the road race. Same counts for the women.
Might have been quite a while ago, when Germany had so many great talents. |

Well I was watching since the beginning and I see someone riding who could be even slower than me. |

That they suck isn't enough to prevent them from taking part. It's called Worlds for a reason.

Apparently, yes. UCI allows them, so they get to ride. But I don't like it. |

Don't really get what's so terrible in letting people from obscure countries to take part in the Worlds.
But hey, whatever, you don't like it, I do, we agree to disagree.

Lord Wilhelm of Slagelse informs me that some people are surprised at Martin's record speed.
I'd like to point out that the speed is only natural because
1. Aerodynamics improve every year
2. This course was much flatter than Worlds TTs usually are. They tend to have two hard climbs each lap.

Uhm no. The word "surprised" was mentioned exactly NO times.

How would you know what Lord Wilhelm told me?

I'm Albanian. But enough about that.
Being a genius, i put my pcm-money on the Gustav Larason, and my actual money on food.
