Because the climb is crap. Almost as crap as TVE. Such horrible coverage.

A shame for Sorenson, but there you have it.
Great news for Chavanel! Very well deserved to take that jersey after being let down yesterday by his fellow chasers.

This stage sucked so much. Anton and Cobo dropped, Moreno wheelsucking and stealing stage from Sorensen. |

No, he didn't. Menchov and Sastre also finished in the first group.

Kruijswijk looked strong today. So dissapointed he lost time yesterday, because of a broken wheel. |

I think he might bounce back in the third week. In the Giro he just got better and better. I'm almost sure he'll still finish Top 10 overall.

Talansky was part of the first group. Sastre as well.
Apart from Capecchi Liquigas wasn't that strong today.
I'm pleased to see Poels is doing doing better now with an 8th place today.
Geox had 4 guys in the first group. Rabobank and Leopard had 3 guys each.
Edit:
Taaramäe and Intxausti lost loads of time and can forget about a decent GC. And Kashechkin too.

Bad for him, it's almost impossible to do anything GC-wise in the 3rd week.

Nice win by Moreno. He and Cobo were, in my opinion, two who could take a chance in a victory since it was so early in the race. And what is wrong with Antón? One great season which ended dramatically with a crash, and now he has the chance to win the Vuelta, but he cracks before the finish?
Oh, and:
140 134 KASHECHKIN, Andrey AST + 18' 27''
So much for a top-5, eh Andrey?

It would just have been stupid by Astana to ride for Kashechkin anyway. He hasn't shown anything since he returned from his ban.
I think it's good though, since Kessiakoff is Astana's new captain. From what I've seen of him so far, I reckon he's finally got back to his legs from 2009 and might have a shot at a Top 15 this year. Great to see him back.

That was my question before the tour..what a fuck was Taaramäe doing anyway on that Vuelta start list.
Nibbles will torture ruben once again..and will take another podium. 4'th. in the row. |

Kessiakoff wearing team nr. 1 at the start list also. And even Kiserlowski is stronger before Vuelta start.
Edit: Is there any place I can follow todays final climb?
