Just saw a video with Horner finishing the stage and he didn't know what happened to him and where he was. Then when they took him to the hospital, he still wasn't knowing where he was and was asking if he finished the stage. I don't think he can continue.

Sounds like he hit his head pretty hard.
Too bad, I like the guy, but I dont think he would have Top 10ed anyway. So two major head injuries to the Radioshack team in the same tour to two of their leaders, what unfortunate luck.
So Kloden becomes the leader I guess.

Horner shouldn't have completed the stage if that's how he felt. Sounds a lot like Brajkovic's injury. He didn't look like one who knew what he was doing either. Luckily, he stepped into the ambulance rather than riding on. |

Geraint Thomas getting in break and wining stage would be awesome to see, or Millar. Thomas deserves big win after simply superb season. |

What an awful day for some teams. Horner is left with a broken nose and a possible concussion. Levi is lost on gc, so it looks like the choice of the 4 leaders of Radioshack is easy....Andreas Kloden. |

More captains in the ground this season than I seem to remember in the past. I can't remember a Tour de France where 7-8 captains has hit the ground before the mountains since Rominger withdrew quite some years back. I believe a lot of big names crashed all over the place back then aswell.

Anyone see the video of Cadel throwing water from his bottle in the general direction of Cav after the race?
Not sure if link will work, my apologizes if it doesn't or if it's already been posted on this site:

You should have seen the video on some american cycling site (don't know which). Horner kept asking where he was and he didn't understand anything that was going one.
Underway he kept asking his DS what happened and where he was, and at the finish again. "Where am I. I was in a crash, really??" and then they laid hem on the stretcher and he was still asking the same questions.
Like he had amnesia or something. Must have hit his head hard. I don't think Horner will continue, it would be unhealthy

He should at least be happy that he had a helmet on

If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

Not sure what Evans was doing. Looks like he was trying to be funny if anything. But he acted like he didn't know Cav was there, maybe he just didn't like the water man? |
