procycling.no is very well connected though. Monday, they revealed the Norwegian line-up for the WC RR a couple of days before the scheduled press conference so the Norwegian Cycling Federation had to reveal the entire selection.

Most likely, it will be either a merge, or a big transfer from Cervelo to Garmin. Hushovd will probably be the lead-out for Farrar.

Likely never to occur, apart from maybe at the Tour. Maybe.
Hushovd would probably focus on the classics, where he seems to do better than in sprints.

Hushovd got injured before the Tour and didn't have time to train sprints.
But if thoose two teams would merge. What about Haussler? And Hushovd would never settle being a lead-out man. He has won 8 TDF stages and the Point jersey twice. Farrar has 1 stage win in a GT(Vuelta 2009)?

what is wrong to be lead out man..when your best days are over?. Kirsipuu was pleased with he's lead out role..when he was leading out young Thor in Credit Agricole team..
and please not that... was not training for sprints talk again..I already heard it to many times
guy should focus for classics..end of story |

And Hushovd isn't one of the youngest, so aim for the future with Farrar and learn some tricks from Hushovd. So what Hushovd had 2 green jerseys, he's like 12 years older than Farrar. When Hushovd loses speed and he will lose speed, he can't do anything else then being a lead-out. But then there are the classics, where he performs pretty neat. |

If we had a rep system, I'd give a positive rep for this post.

Hey!, Hushovd has not showed his sprinting in this year because injured and you know.
But if he still cant sprint against the best sprinter he has no other choice than to be lead out man for Farrar.
But i do not either think that he will accept being a lead out man, he wants a yersey and he is good enough, just wait next year.
But on the other side it makes no sense having two good sprinters, i know about Cav & Greipel but it does not seems realistic to me.
I like my country riders, specially Hushovd

The same old song that we've all listened to since late June. Move on, please.
(And with that, I meant end of discussion. Feel free to make a new thread for "Is Hushovd still a sprinter?").

Cervélo's gone.
They'll supply bikes to Garmin but the team itself is gone. Hammond, Klier, Hushovd and Haussler will also move over.
God damn it, when we finally have a team with an intelligent manager who actually gives a damn about fighting doping and doesn't sweep it under the rug.....the team folds.
I hope Vroomen finds a way to start a new team, somehow.

Good for Garmin though, they get Cervelo bikes, and some strong riders. |

Fragging shame, I liked Cervélo.
Quite strong classics team for Garmin now, though. |

Cervelo confirms that it will not continue its Test Team in 2011:
Cervélo confirmed today that it would not continue as a cycling team title sponsor after the end of the 2010 season.
Certain subtle changes in the rules that govern pro cycling, have established a trend towards bigger budgets to ensure participation in all the big races, and this is not something with which we are comfortable. We were okay with the significant commitment we originally made to the team, but to increase it is not prudent.
To create the best opportunities for riders, staff, sponsors and other stakeholders, a bigger team environment is needed. At the same time, the very positive response to a focus on "more than just racing" has been great.
We look forward to continued involvement in pro cycling at the highest level with an emphasis on product R&D, as we have since 2003. To that end, we will announce the details soon.
