Paris-Nice

Stage 6 : St-Paul-Trois-Chateaux - La Montagne de Lure

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/1-43.jpg
Today we´re expecting the hardest stage in Paris-Nice 2010!It´s probably the queen stage and so many favorites should shine there such as Valverde,Gerdemann,Lövkvist,Voigt,Vande Velde and Sastre. We will see if Monfort and Martin can hold on at the final climb which looks really hard

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/2-30.jpg
Mark Cavendish managed to get in today´s break. There he could win a few sprint points so he will get the green jersey for tomorrow.Muravyev won all KoM competitions so far and is the new King of Mountains

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/3-30.jpg
As the final climb began the first move came from Sastre with more than 12 kilometres to go

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/4-30.jpg
Only one kilometre later Gerdemann started his attack with Monfort and Martin on his backwheel.Martin and Monfort were really close together today. Both of them worked really hard for themselves..kind of dream teamSmile

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/5-30.jpg
There was built a small chasing group about 6 riders including Voigt,Gerdemann,Monfort and of course Tony Martin.Sastre was still a few seconds in front

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/6-29.jpg
But with only 7 kilometres to go the group was brought back to the peloton.Caisse d´Epargne worked a lot at the front for Valverde.Only Sastre could defend his small advantage in front of this group

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/7-27.jpg
The next moves were made with only 4 kilometres to go,this time by Fedrigo and Garate

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/8-24.jpg
Lövkvist went after them just a few moment later

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/9-16.jpg
Valverde was still in this bigger group together with his team-mates Brushegin and Moreau.Monfort and Martin were leading the chasers

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/10-12.jpg
With 2,5 kilometres to go Valverde started his attack and he reached the leading riders really easy

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/11-10.jpg
Another move by Monfort!

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/12-6.jpg
Fedrigo,Garate,Lövkvist,Sastre and Barredo could not keep it up with Valverde,he was just too strong

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/13-4.jpg
He was still attacking on the one kilometre brand. His advantage to Barredo&Co became bigger and bigger

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/14-3.jpg
Valverde takes the stage win and his leading leadership in the overall becomes bigger, too

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/15-1.jpg
Barredo wins the sprint behind Valverde in front of Lövkvist and Sastre

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/17-1.jpg
Here comes Monfort with 1 minute and 22 seconds to Valverde

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/18-1.jpg
Martin could defend his white jersey, finishing as 15th 2´22 behind Valverde

Stage 3 : Fucecchio - Santa Croce Sull´Arno

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/1-44.jpg
The third stage should be made for sprinters like Freire and Boonen. With a short hilly section before the finish we´re expecting that Greipel will have some problems so Eisel should be our man

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/2-31.jpg
There were some important riders in today´s breakaway such as Fränk Schleck and Cummings

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/3-31.jpg
We couldn´t form a sprint train and so Eisel had to manage the sprint final on his own

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/4-31.jpg
With only 5 kilometres to go Oscar Freire and Tom Boonen are already in a good position while Eisel is still searching for that

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/6-30.jpg
The sprint begins and Ciolek tries to take the lead;on the right side comes Freire,Boonen on the left side

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/7-28.jpg
Freire takes the lead in front of Carrara and Boasson Hagen comes really fast now in the middle

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/8-25.jpg
Freire takes the stage in front of Boasson Hagen and Carrara.Eisel had no chance in the end and so he becomes 13th

Paris-Nice

Stage 7 : Manosque - Fayence

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/1-45.jpg
Stage 7 is another one made for climbers and puncheurs. The big favorite is of course Alejandro Valverde.Monfort and Martin want to defend their good overall positions, especially Martin wants to wear his white jersey until Nice

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/2-32.jpg
Caisse d´Epargne made the pace in the second part of the race for their team captain Valverde

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/4-32.jpg
After a successful move with more than 10 kilometres to go Barredo was in front 3 kilometres before the stage. His advantage over the pack was more than a minute

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/5-32.jpg
Behind, the favorites had to do something ´cause Barredo was dangerous for Valverde.Voigt and Vande Velde went after Valverde

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/6-31.jpg
Monfort and Martin worked together for another time

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/7-29.jpg
With only one kilometre to go Barredo was still in front but the gap to Valverde was less than 40 seconds.Voigt is in one group with Valverde and behind them Vande Velde,Monfort and Tony Martin are fighting for another great result

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/8-26.jpg
Barredo takes the stage

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/9-18.jpg
Valverde won the sprint against Voigt for the second place. And he lost only 32 seconds to Barredo in the end. That means he will defend his leader´s jersey

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/10-13.jpg
Monfort becomes 4th in front of Martin and Vande Velde. What a great result for our team!!Monfort can improve himself in the overall from rank 11 to 7!Martin from 14 to 13.Of course he will defend his jersey for the best young rider

Tirreno-Adriatico

Stage 4 : Foligno - Montelupone

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/1-46.jpg
Tirreno-Adriatico becomes serious now!!After 3 strange stages where many favorites lost a lot of time because of crashes this tour is going to be harder

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/2-33.jpg
Van Summeren was the only one in the break today

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/3-33.jpg
On the final climb with only 1.5 kilometres to go Ginanni leads the pack which was divided up into many groups

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/4-33.jpg
Rogers missed the right backwheel and so he couldn´t get a good result anymore

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/5-33.jpg
The sprint begins and Ginanni is still leading but Cunego comes really fast behind him.Can he reach him??

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/6-32.jpg
No he can´t!Ginanni is too strong in the last weeks!

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/7-30.jpg
Rogers becomes 8th in the end. It´s really strange but Contador lost again 2´07 to Ginanni!!

Paris-Nice

Stage 8 : Nice - Nice

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/1-47.jpg
It´s the last stage in France and it´s gonna be a serious one!Valverde should be the winner of Paris-Nice but behind there are some interesting fights

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/2-34.jpg
The breakaway was really big today.Muravyev and Fothen were there, too and the King of Mountains could get some more points for his jersey+

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/3-34.jpg
On the last climb there were some important moves by Lövkvist,Joly,Sastre,Monfort and Valverde

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/4-34.jpg
On the top of this climb Valverde could get a small gap to the first chasing group with Monfort,Lövkvist,Barredo and Garate

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/5-34.jpg
On the downhill Valverde is still in front

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/6-33.jpg
After a short flat section Monfort can get a small gap to the bigger group

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/7-31.jpg
Last kilometre!!And it seems that Valverde is really tired,he becomes slow!

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/8-27.jpg
The sprint begins and Monfrot comes really close to Valverde now!

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/9-19.jpg
And that´s it!!!!Monfort beats Valverde in the sprint.Great stage win for him and he improved himself in the overall again from 7 to 4!!!!

Ok Paris-Nice is over now!I will continue with the next stage in Italy;it´s a hilly time trial so it should be useful for Rogers.

P.S. If there is something you would improve in this story, just tell me your ideasSmilethanks

Tirreno-Adriatico

Stage 5 : Loreto - Macerata ITT

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/1-48.jpg
Since the general standings are mostly strange this time trial will show if the big favorites like Contador are still alive.Cancellara should be the great favorite but also Rogers wants to shine today

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Cancellara-2.jpg
Cancellara was the first one setting an amazing time!He needed 50 minutes and 58 seconds for 33 kilometres if this is already the winner time? We´ll see....

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Contador.jpg
Next one was Contador, his first time after 10 kilometres was 2 seconds faster than Cancellara´s.At the second time measurement he was already 4 seconds behind the world champion and in the end he is 10 seconds behind Fabian Cancellara

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Plaza.jpg
Ruben Plaza came with an amazing day and a fantastic interim time,5 seconds faster than Cancellara!!At the second time measurement he was even 8 seconds in front. And the big surprise came in the end he could hold on and he beats Cancellara by 13 seconds!!

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Rogers-1.jpg
Michael Rogers did a great job today.Of course he couldn´t reach the great times by Plaza,Cancellara and Contador but he gets a great 6th rank in the end

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Cunego.jpg
Good time by Cunego! He´s 10th in the end with a big chance becoming the new leader of the tour

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/Ginanni.jpg
That´s it!Cunego takes the leader´s jersey ´cause of a bad time by Ginanni. He lost 3´02 to Plaza who is second in the overall now

Tirreno-Adriatico

Stage 6 : Civitanova Marche - Camerino

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/1-49.jpg
This one is the queen stage in this year´s Tirreno-Adriatico.We´ll see if Cunego can defend his jersey also it´s interesting to see Contador and Schleck on their first hard mountain stage

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/2-35.jpg
The biggest name in today´s breakaway was Van Den Broeck who could stay in front for a long time

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/3-35.jpg
After the hardest climb of today´s stage the pack was really small!Favorites like Contador,Schleck,Plaza and Cunego were still there.Rogers could stay there, too but he already had some problems on the climb

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/4-35.jpg
And with more than 25 kilometres to go Contador started an attack

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/5-35.jpg
Pellizotti,Casar and Ginanni went after him

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/6-34.jpg
But they were all caught from this group.Rogers and Nibali had some problems to keep it up with the favorites

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/7-32.jpg
Far in front was a small group with Pellizotti,Casar and Van Den Broeck who was still in front

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/8-28.jpg
This was the first chasing group with Rodriguez,Contador and Boasson Hagen

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/9-20.jpg
Next attack this time by Joaquim Rodriguez who seems to be in an amazing shape

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/10-15.jpg
The sprint begins and Rodriguez is still in front with a powerful acceleration

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/11-11.jpg
That´s it!!Stage win for the Spaniard

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/12-7.jpg
Great finish by Popovych!!Carrara becomes third in the end and Rogers lost a few more seconds same like Contador and Schleck

Stage 7 : San Benedetto del Tronto

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/1-50.jpg
It´s the last stage in Italy for our team and we´re expecting a mass sprint!
Our sprint results weren´t really well so Eisel and Greipel are angry about that and they really want to show her strength today

What a bad luck,I´m really sorry but the game crashed after the great sprint finish. Our team was motivated for this last stage and we were working hard. After the breakaway was brought back the teams began to form their sprint trains.Eisel and Greipel were in front and Rogers kept the pace high so our train was great with Eisel behind Rogers and Greipel on his backwheel.Rogers did a great job today,Eisel could continue this great work and so it was up to Greipel. It looked great in the first moment but his acceleration wasn´t really well today so Eisel was even faster than him.On the right side came Baden Cooke,Boonen,Fernandez and Allan Davis really fast.In the end Eisel took a good podium for us behind the stage winner Baden Cooke and Fernandez.Greipel became 4th in front of Boonen and Davis. This result is ok but not our wish for the future! We are an amazing sprinter team and our sprints there in Italy were not good so we really have to work on this!!Hope it´s becoming better...
