Apparently there was a crash, but as cyclingnews said only 5 riders went down it can't have been that bad.

Cavendish can´t be in form and in TDU everybody saw that HTC-Columbia can fail to do a good sprint-train

Cunego, Gerdemann, Vanendert and Ten Dam went down. The 2 last ones went straight to the hospital with an ambulance. Cunego went to the hospital for x-rays. Gerdemann only substained some bruises.

somehow freire takes a lot of wins because german riders celebrate too early...
