PCM rulezz - That's for sure!
tovhol -
Jesleyh - Yet no GC victory
dienblad - dog shit? You've been listening to Wiggins too much! It's a lot, but two TTs from Willy, a lot of sprints from Stijn and then some far out attacks since we don't have to defend the pink jersey anymore and...
Daggen - ... this of course.
krisa - yup!
Miguel98 - Nice that you're glad. He started a bit bad but he fully recovered, so it seems!
wogsrus - He's starting to be, I think. He can handle a lot of tough terrain and produce a high-speed sprint afterwards.
sutty68 - Thanks
Jakstar22 - We'll see that later today!
Thanks for all the support. Final stage today and I'll probably try to get up until the NCs today! |

Young Rider Classification
Team Classification
Willy Wouters: This Giro has been about ups and downs. After an amazing start, I've had a fall back in the second week. Uran and Machado were the best here, there's no doubt about that. However, I feel I did the best to my abilities and I fought back as hard as I could. I can look back on this Giro with a lot of proud and hope to return one day to fight for the pink jersey.
Stijn Van Gent: After a mediocre start, I got the ball rolling in stage 9. I hit some kind of amazing form and didn't disappoint. It's been an amazing ride and this Giro will always have a special place in my heart, it's here that I reached the ultimate heights of my sprinting abilities, both literally and figuratively. It's my first Points Jersey and I fought hard for it.

Third place is also very good. But Machado is extremely overoveroverrated. |

Does that word exist? Overarreted would fit nicer. Machado only does good in PCM. Need to do something with him. |

It doesn't. I just invented it (or not ) to express the fact that he his extremely overrated. |

All with all not a bad Giro: 3 jersey and a lot of stage wins. keep it up

wogsrus - Sprinting at the end of a GT is always very realistic in PCM
FreitasPCM - Possibly
PCM rulezz - Will do! The Giro was quite a success
Jakstar22 - Thanks!

National Championships
Stijn: This is a profile where I can take my second National title, I will fight for it!
Willy: To help Stijn, I will try to get in the break.
Willy Wouters
My will be done! I went in the attack and spent the day in the break!
OPQS did a lot of chasing, and we lasted until 30 km to the finish. It's all in a day's work here at Team Garmin!
Stijn Van Gent
I was very cool today, suppressed my nerves perfectly, despite the big pressure on me. But then Van Avermaet attacked!
He got a gap, and it was growing. I ordered Vanmarcke to accelerate, I was to take his wheel.
I got away and just when I caught Van Avermaet, the peloton caught us. With 4 km left to go, I knew I couldn't recuperate in time for the sprint after that effort. Damn it! Excellent bluff by OPQS. I wheelsucked Boonen for the sprint.
But after that silly, stupid attack of mine, I couldn't pass him, damn!

Willy: I came back from height-training for these championships. I was too much out of form to beat a De Gendt, unfortunately.
Stijn; I thought I could do well in the road race. The profile was perfect to give me a second title, but it's my own fault. OPQS played it well. All my focus is now directed towards the World Championships. I'll have my revenge in next year's National Championships, though!
| Time Trial | Road Race | Belgium | De Gendt | Boonen | France | Coppel | Démare | Italy | Citro | Nibali | Spain | Contador | Milan Jimenez | USA | Phinney | Phinney | Netherlands | Westra | Westra | Germany | Martin | Ciolek | Great Britain | | Tennant |
Next item on our blog will be the conclusion of the Tour de France and possibly the result in Poland!
See you then,
Stijn & Willy |

Disappointed NC's from the boys

A shame that none of them could grab an NC. Willy has got a more beautiful jersey in TTs atm anyway
And nice that Kelderman got second in Suisse ofc

Well too bad no GC win but it was still a pretty nice Giro. Shame also Tiago couldn't make it 2 out of 2.
As for the Belgian Championships who else but Boonen to ruin the party.
What is the next race for Stijn and Willy? |

PCM rulezz - Yeah, their form was not too good
Jesleyh - That WC TT jersey is much nicer indeed Maybe prolonging that would be great
alex344 - Machado was close but Uran was just too strong all around! Boonen is a known party-crasher for Stijn Stijn will start in the Eneco Tour, Willy in Tour of Utah, I think! |
