Menchov, Levi and other guys need that Di Luca doesn't win today. Do you guys think it would make sense if Rabobank, Cervelo and Astana try to send a rider in today's break to prevent Di Luca to win or, at least, to force his team to work if he really wants to win today's stage?
probably Rabo won't lead the pack with a high pace after the escapes. Only LPR seems to be interested in that. But about a man in the breakaway I don't know... still they have to be pretty good climbers to make the breakaway win.

I like Gerrans' chances in that break, though Visconti looked strong in the TT. |

Does anyone know hat has happened to Augustyn, he lost 2 min again yesterday, but I haven't seen a fall or injury reported anywhere so was wondering if I missed something.

So far for Di Luca today I guess. 14 man is just too many to chase down...
though, this cold make the stage interesting to watch ttacks in the brek for vicory and a GC battle in the back for a few extra seconds? |

So the unlikely has happened: huge breakaway.
Best thing that could've happened
Visconti takes the stage.

Maybe Columbia will follow the breakaway a little...Chris Froome is only 8 minutes down on Lovkvist in young riders classification... |

hm, it says the lead is steady at 4:30... but doesnt say who's chasing... 4:30 would still be possible. |

As I said on last page I like Gerrans' chances, but Visconti've seemed very strong so far in the giro. However, Gerrans might've tried to save his energy for the last week, should be interesting . |

More than possible. It's 50/50 on whether the break sticks.

LPR leading the peloton. We shall see how desperate Di Luca is and for how long his team can keep controlling stages.
EDIT: Gap now at 3:50 as well
