Thanks all.
@valverde: LAst year he won the double in Canada. This will be Boom`s task this year if I remember right.
Hesjedal indeed goes for the Vuelta in top form. He jest had 28-30 racedays at the moment and will have ~40 before the Vuelta. |

With two Danes in our team we decided to take part in this race. Jakob Fuglsang will go for the overall while Baris Dao is our hope in the sprints. But not sure if he can already compete with the best here as he still needs some more races to find his rhythm.
With Millar and Bobridge we have more riders with overall chances while Vandervelde, Rowe and Meier will be our domestiques.

Baris Dao showed a good result on the first stage. After that he wasn`t able to get another top 10 due to his average fitness and missing experience. Therefore Fuglsang showed some great sprint skills on the more uphill sprints. Together with his strong time trial he improved on the podium. Unfortunately he was kicked by on step on the final day with Bauer gaining 12 bonus seconds.
A big surprise in the time trial was Armstrong. (67 TT, 72 PRL) So he saved himself a good overall position in his probably last season. |

Third overall is good. Nice to see Bao Top 10 on one stage too. I'm looking forward to see him in the future.

Thanks.
@pellizotti: Same here. Looking forward to see him next season with an hopefully improved flat and acc stat.
@olabj: It was a great effort by him. With 11s back on the last stage as 4th gaining 12s in the final.
The stats aren`t too good actually but obviously good enough to win a stage race with time trial without being in a break. That`s what I love PCM10 for. The fitness peak can bring weaker riders into great positions.

Quite strange that Bauer managed to outsprint some of the sprinters on the last stage. Burghardt on third is also a small clash.

The finish was quite uphill. More than it looks like on the screenshot actually.
With a peaking form this is possible. But Boasson Hagen was quite a disappointment in the sprints. |

Jack Bauer's average would be higher, if there would be a shooting or torture stat in PCM
Too bad Fuglsang coudn't win in his home race, but 3rd is still good |

That was the 2012 season presentation.
But especially Martin, Dao, Stetina, Kreder or Löw improved a bit since then. Before every race I do a team presentation, so you might compare with these stats, too.
As Pellizotti said, it`s the 3rd season. But Saxobank was named to Leopard and they are still doing very well. The actual Saxobank team in the Cont. division is the former Cervelo team. So no big surprise that they are down there.

Great results over last few pages. But that's what we expect from Roturn Dao improving is great to see and good 3rd in overall. Now let's see Boom kick Cancellara's ass at Eneco

Thanks Alakagom. Very much appreciated.
We take part in the Volta a Portugal as preparation race for Hesjedal`s Vuelta peak. Although his form isn`t perfect of course, we expect a top 10 result here due to the "weaker" startlist.
Also Matthew Goss should be able to get good results on the flat stages. There are 2 probably chances for the sprinters, maybe 1-2 more with good luck.
All other riders are domestiques for these two.

Big favourites are Hesjedal, Coppel, Mollema and Frank. But also Txurruka, Gómez Marchante, Eibegger and Rolland have good chances.
The report will be splitted in two parts as I haven`t played the 2nd half yet.
Stage 1: Lisboa - Lisboa ITT
1 | Ignatas Konovalovas | Team Saxobank - Sungard | 7'34 | 2 | Marcel Wyss | Team Saxobank - Sungard | + 5 | 3 | Cameron Meyer | Garmin - Cervelo | + 7 | 4 | Adriano Malori | Ceramica Flaminia | + 8 | 5 | Jérôme Coppel | Saur - Sojasun | + 9 | 6 | Mathias Frank | BMC Racing Team | + 13 | 7 | Ryder Hesjedal | Garmin - Cervelo | + 14 | 8 | Matthias Brändle | Orbea | + 17 | 9 | Nelson Oliveira | Xacobeo Galicia | + 18 | 10 | Garikoitz Bravo | Caja Rural | s.t. |
A good start for us. Meyer very close to his first season win and also Hesjedal with a strong performance due to his fitness level. With Coppel and Frank other favourites here, too.
Stage 2: Caldas da Rainha - Castelo Branco
1 | Rubens Bertogliati | Androni Giocattoli - Serramenti PVC Diquigiovanni | 4h49'02 | 2 | Mathias Frank | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 3 | Johann Tschopp | Team Europcar | s.t. | 4 | Rafael Valls | Team Geox | s.t. | 5 | Guillaume Bonnafond | Ag2r La Mondiale | s.t. | 6 | Ryder Hesjedal | Garmin - Cervelo | s.t. | 7 | Stefan Denifl | Team Saxobank - Sungard | s.t. | 8 | Rui Sousa | Barbot - Siper | s.t. | 9 | Bauke Mollema | Colnago - CSF Inox | s.t. | 10 | Ignatas Konovalovas | Team Saxobank - Sungard | s.t. |
1 | Ignatas Konovalovas | Team Saxobank - Sungard | 4h56'36 | 2 | Rubens Bertogliati | Androni Giocattoli - Serramenti PVC Diquigiovanni | s.t. | 3 | Mathias Frank | BMC Racing Team | + 1 |
No chance for Goss today. Therefore Hesjedal with another strong ride. Unfortunately Frank took some bonus seconds.
Stage 3: Idanha-a-Nova - Guarda
1 | Mathias Frank | BMC Racing Team | 3h53'05 | 2 | Bauke Mollema | Colnago - CSF Inox | + 57 | 3 | Rafael Valls | Team Geox | s.t. | 4 | Amets Txurruka | Euskaltel - Euskadi | + 1'23 | 5 | Trent Lowe | Garmin - Cervelo | s.t. | 6 | Stefan Denifl | Team Saxobank - Sungard | s.t. | 7 | Julien Loubet | Ag2r La Mondiale | + 1'37 | 8 | Johann Tschopp | Team Europcar | s.t. | 9 | Ryder Hesjedal | Garmin - Cervelo | s.t. | 10 | Ricardo Mestre | Team Saxobank - Sungard | s.t. |
1 | Mathias Frank | BMC Racing Team | 8h49'22 | 2 | Bauke Mollema | Colnago - CSF Inox | + 1'29 | 3 | Rafael Valls | Team Geox | + 1'36 |
Frank attacked and no one was able to follow. Really a pity as Hesjedal had enough energy left but couldn`t create a gap like the Swiss rider. In the end Lowe was surprisingly strong and beat Hesjedal.
Stage 4: Fundão - Gouveia
1 | Alejandro Marque Porto | Palmeiras Resort - Prio | 4h34'22 | 2 | Stijn Joseph | Landbouwkrediet | s.t. | 3 | Cyril Lemoine | Saur - Sojasun | s.t. | 4 | José Luis Roldán | Andalucia - CajaSur | s.t. | 5 | Matthias Brändle | Orbea | s.t. | 6 | Wouter Mol | Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team | s.t. | 7 | Alberto Fernández | Xacobeo Galicia | s.t. | 8 | Gregory Brenes | Burgos 2016 - Castilla y Leon | s.t. | 9 | Matthew Harley Goss | Garmin - Cervelo | s.t. | 10 | Johann Tschopp | Team Europcar | s.t. |
1 | Mathias Frank | BMC Racing Team | 13h23'44 | 2 | Bauke Mollema | Colnago - CSF Inox | + 1'29 | 3 | Rafael Valls | Team Geox | + 1'36 |
Very bad luck for us. The stage is announced as hilly one and quite fast many sprinters felt back. Goss was in the end the only sprinter left in the peloton but the breakaway just rescued themselves into the finish ahead of him winning the bunch sprint.
Stage 5: Trancoso - Mondim de Basto
1 | Bauke Mollema | Colnago - CSF Inox | 4h43'35 | 2 | Mathias Frank | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 3 | Ryder Hesjedal | Garmin - Cervelo | s.t. | 4 | Simon Zahner | Team Saxobank - Sungard | + 18 | 5 | Rafael Valls | Team Geox | + 33 | 6 | Vitor Rodrigues | Palmeiras Resort - Prio | + 49 | 7 | Johann Tschopp | Team Europcar | s.t. | 8 | Stefan Denifl | Team Saxobank - Sungard | s.t. | 9 | Iván Velasco | Euskaltel - Euskadi | s.t. | 10 | Guillaume Bonnafond | Ag2r La Mondiale | s.t. |
1 | Mathias Frank | BMC Racing Team | 18h07'07 | 2 | Bauke Mollema | Colnago - CSF Inox | + 1'21 | 3 | Ryder Hesjedal | Garmin - Cervelo | + 2'14 |
The result looking good. Hesjedal improved onto the podium but losing some seconds on Frank and Mollema.
It was quite a pity as Hesjedal attacked on the final climb and looked like the winner when these two overtook him with 100m to go. But still a good result. Frank looks very strong so far.

Your level of awesomeness just increased by rinding in Portugal.
Frank seems very strong. Hesjedal can hold on to the podium, me thinks. |

Nice results in Denmark and Portugal so far! Hope for Hesjedal to defend his podium in 2nd half. Might give him some extra-motivation for Vuelta

Thanks all.
@Freitas: Actually I was never riding this race before. But it was the best chance to prepare with Hesjedal. All other races doesn`t really suit him.
@ tsmoha: I hope so at least.
@ Bosskardo: Winning Vattenfall and Eneco would be great. Having a good Vuelta and going for the win in Lombardia would also be great but hard.
These 4 are definitely the biggest goals. |

Thanks ricotero_uy. Not long to go until La Vuelta starts.
Here now the 2nd part of the Volta a Portugal.
Stage 6: Felgueiras - Fafe
Breakaway win on another hard hilly finish. José Vicente Toribio ahead of Dapena and former Garmin Tuft.
With a strong attack Hesjedal gained some time today. This is important with Coppel behind him with a time trial coming.
Frank tried to follow but felt back again.
1 | José Vicente Toribio | Andalucia - CajaSur | 5h22'31 | 2 | David García Dapena | Xacobeo Galicia | s.t. | 3 | Svein Tuft | Team Geox | s.t. | 4 | Joaquín Novoa | Euskaltel - Euskadi | + 12 | 5 | Denys Kostyuk | Ceramica Flaminia | s.t. | 6 | Koen Barbé | Landbouwkrediet | s.t. | 7 | Gilberto Simoni | Androni Giocattoli - Serramenti PVC Diquigiovanni | + 42 | 8 | Rubén García Pérez | Caja Rural | s.t. | 9 | Nelson Vitorino | Palmeiras Resort - Prio | s.t. | 10 | Mickaël Buffaz | Saur - Sojasun | s.t. | 11 | Ryder Hesjedal | Garmin - Cervelo | + 7'02 | 12 | Jérôme Coppel | Saur - Sojasun | + 7'37 | 13 | Johann Tschopp | Team Europcar | s.t. | 14 | Amets Txurruka | Euskaltel - Euskadi | s.t. | 15 | Vitor Rodrigues | Palmeiras Resort - Prio | s.t. |
1 | Mathias Frank | BMC Racing Team | 23h37'15 | 2 | Bauke Mollema | Colnago - CSF Inox | + 1'21 | 3 | Ryder Hesjedal | Garmin - Cervelo | + 1'39 |
Stage 7: Barcelos - Santo Tirso
1 | Matthew Harley Goss | Garmin - Cervelo | 5h41'32 | 2 | Koen Barbé | Landbouwkrediet | s.t. | 3 | Martin Pedersen | Team Geox | s.t. | 4 | Marcello Pavarin | Colnago - CSF Inox | s.t. | 5 | Davy Commeyne | Landbouwkrediet | s.t. | 6 | Cyril Lemoine | Saur - Sojasun | s.t. | 7 | Martin Reimer | Team Saxobank - Sungard | s.t. | 8 | Luca Paolini | Colnago - CSF Inox | s.t. | 9 | Sérgio Ribeiro | Barbot - Siper | s.t. | 10 | Marcel Wyss | Team Saxobank - Sungard | s.t. |
Goss with a favourite win. Very deserved after doing the pace the whole day. Especially Wilson and Meyer were loyal domestiques today.
Stage 8: Póvoa do Varzim - São João da Madeira
1 | Cayetano José Sarmiento | Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team | 5h17'49 | 2 | José Luis Roldán | Andalucia - CajaSur | s.t. | 3 | Guillaume Levarlet | Saur - Sojasun | + 14 | 4 | Gustavo César Veloso | Xacobeo Galicia | + 1'01 | 5 | Rubén Martínez | Caja Rural | + 1'13 | 6 | Miguel Mínguez | Team Geox | s.t. | 7 | Pierre Rolland | Team Europcar | + 1'47 | 8 | Ryder Hesjedal | Garmin - Cervelo | s.t. | 9 | Rafael Valls | Team Geox | s.t. | 10 | Bauke Mollema | Colnago - CSF Inox | s.t. |
1 | Mathias Frank | BMC Racing Team | 34h38'23 | 2 | Bauke Mollema | Colnago - CSF Inox | + 1'21 | 3 | Ryder Hesjedal | Garmin - Cervelo | + 1'39 |
Another breakaway win on the queen stage in Portugal. The mountain looks much harder than it actually was. Nearly 20 riders in the favourite group although there were many unsuccessful attacks.
Sarmiento wins out of the group, while rolland and Hesjedal lead the peloton with +1'47 into the finish. Jerome Coppel surprisingly lost 21s today. Good for Hesjedal.
Stage 9: Gondomar - Aveiro
1 | Martin Pedersen | Team Geox | 4h10'08 | 2 | Cyril Lemoine | Saur - Sojasun | s.t. | 3 | Koen Barbé | Landbouwkrediet | s.t. | 4 | Matthew Harley Goss | Garmin - Cervelo | s.t. | 5 | Jorge Montenegro | Andalucia - CajaSur | s.t. | 6 | Ryder Hesjedal | Garmin - Cervelo | s.t. | 7 | Davy Commeyne | Landbouwkrediet | s.t. | 8 | Marcel Wyss | Team Saxobank - Sungard | s.t. | 9 | Joaquín Ortega | Barbot - Siper | s.t. | 10 | Juan Pablo Forero | Andalucia - CajaSur | s.t. |
No 2nd stage win for Goss on the last real flat stage. Pedersen was the fastest today as Goss was a bit bad positioned when the sprint started.
Stage 10: Oliveira do Bairro - Torre
1 | Adriano Malori | Ceramica Flaminia | 45'03 | 2 | Marcel Wyss | Team Saxobank - Sungard | + 2 | 3 | Jérôme Coppel | Saur - Sojasun | + 6 | 4 | Ignatas Konovalovas | Team Saxobank - Sungard | + 22 | 5 | Svein Tuft | Team Geox | + 25 | 6 | Nelson Oliveira | Xacobeo Galicia | + 59 | 7 | Mathias Frank | BMC Racing Team | + 1'01 | 8 | Matthias Brändle | Orbea | + 1'03 | 9 | Johan Le Bon | Saur - Sojasun | + 1'13 | 10 | Cyril Lemoine | Saur - Sojasun | + 1'15 |
Spoiler 11 | Rubens Bertogliati | Androni Giocattoli - Serramenti PVC Diquigiovanni | + 1'19 | 12 | Angel Madrazo Ruiz | Burgos 2016 - Castilla y Leon | s.t. | 13 | Cameron Meyer | Garmin - Cervelo | + 1'28 | 14 | Yuriy Krivtsov | Ag2r La Mondiale | + 1'29 | 15 | Ryder Hesjedal | Garmin - Cervelo | + 1'40 | 16 | Alfredo Balloni | Colnago - CSF Inox | + 1'43 | 17 | Juan Pablo Forero | Andalucia - CajaSur | + 1'44 | 18 | Gregory Brenes | Burgos 2016 - Castilla y Leon | + 1'45 | 19 | Camilo Suárez | Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team | + 1'46 | 20 | Matthew Harley Goss | Garmin - Cervelo | + 1'52 | 21 | Alejandro Marque Porto | Palmeiras Resort - Prio | + 1'53 | 22 | Frederik Veuchelen | Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team | + 1'54 | 23 | Callum Wilkinson | Ceramica Flaminia | s.t. | 24 | Bauke Mollema | Colnago - CSF Inox | + 1'55 | 25 | Alexandre Moos | BMC Racing Team | + 1'57 |
1 | Mathias Frank | BMC Racing Team | 39h34'35 | 2 | Bauke Mollema | Colnago - CSF Inox | + 2'15 | 3 | Ryder Hesjedal | Garmin - Cervelo | + 2'18 |
Malori wins the time trial. Most top 10 riders with weak times today. Frank the strongest of them again. Hesjedal gained some time on Mollema but not enough unfortunately.
Coppel with a great day jumps into the top 10 on the 4th again. The 21s losing time will cost him the podium and therefore give us one.
Stage 11: Viseu - Viseu
1 | Martin Pedersen | Team Geox | 4h14'43 | 2 | Matthew Harley Goss | Garmin - Cervelo | s.t. | 3 | Davy Commeyne | Landbouwkrediet | s.t. | 4 | Jonathan Hivert | Saur - Sojasun | s.t. | 5 | Cyril Lemoine | Saur - Sojasun | s.t. | 6 | Vitor Rodrigues | Palmeiras Resort - Prio | s.t. | 7 | Marcel Wyss | Team Saxobank - Sungard | s.t. | 8 | Markus Eibegger | Team Geox | s.t. | 9 | Mathias Frank | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | 10 | Johann Tschopp | Team Europcar | s.t. |
Bad luck on this stage. Pedersen wins ahead of Goss is looking quite normal but actually the Dane was in a breakaway and survived on the final meters. Goss was by far the strongest in the sprint and almost caught him.
Most favourites attacked on the last hills and had a gap of 1min to Hesjedal. So Lowe, Peterson, Duggan and also Goss had to work hard to bring them back. Unfortunately I missed that Pedersen wasn`t caught like the other early breakaway riders and stopped the pace when the group was together again.
Final classement
1 | Mathias Frank | BMC Racing Team | 43h49'18 | 2 | Bauke Mollema | Colnago - CSF Inox | + 2'15 | 3 | Ryder Hesjedal | Garmin - Cervelo | + 2'18 | 4 | Jérôme Coppel | Saur - Sojasun | + 2'32 | 5 | Angel Madrazo Ruiz | Burgos 2016 - Castilla y Leon | + 3'40 | 6 | Rafael Valls | Team Geox | + 3'50 | 7 | Johann Tschopp | Team Europcar | + 4'21 | 8 | Vitor Rodrigues | Palmeiras Resort - Prio | s.t. | 9 | José Ángel Gómez Marchante | Andalucia - CajaSur | + 4'40 | 10 | Rui Sousa | Barbot - Siper | + 4'55 |
