Last race for Cav in rainbow and he takes the win. Possibly last for Sky also. Impressive win also, the leadout wasn't good.

Cavendish was just totally awesome in that sprint finish, not one rider could challenge him
And Congratulations to Jonathan Tiernan-Locke on becoming the first British rider to win the Tour of Britain |

Cavendish was very smart in the finale there. Impressive victory.
But dear god, that was a dangerous finish! Very narrow and cobbled as well!

Maybe that(d rather belong to "the difficult topics" topic, but all Japanese riders have been kicked out of the race, because, erm, it's just too pathetic to write it. |

Given all that's happened in the last days over there, maybe it's good for them that they've been kicked out of the race. I surely wouldn't like to be racing (or doing anything else) in China if I was Japanese at least.

Return of the Schumacher!!!
And Stevic. what??? I thought he was banned for life???
EDIT: And I am aware that Schumacher has had a pretty successful last year or two. I just wanted to say it. It's such a great name.

Who exactly has kicked them out? Or have they been withdrawn? |

The organisers of the race did it, but the UCI approved, and none of the Japanese riders/teams/press are really complaining, because I think they agree it's probably not safe at the moment.
Apparently some Chinese badminton players got pulled out of a Japanese tournament for the same reason.

According to Inrng on twitter, they were advised to leave, not kicked out:
"UCI says Japanese "expelled" from Tour of China but local reports say they were advised to leave in case of attack https://www.cyclow...1864"
Note: It was later clarrified that this "local report" was Japanese, so this isn't just local Chinese propaganda.

Races in China... Kicking riders out because they might be in danger, that shouldn't happen.
Next thing you know we'll have the Tour of Syria. |

Again, they were advised to leave, they weren't forced.

I know. And I agree with it.
I'm just saying, things like that shouldn't happen. China shouldn't organize races, especially the upcoming WT race. It's not the safest country and the government is almost a dictatorship, so...
Terribly off topic. Sorry |

I don't know. It seems kind of appropriate for the UCI to be involved then.
