Thanks.
@ricotero_uy:Maybe not better in the overall, but the time gap might have been bigger to the peloton. But you never know.

Tour of Pologne - Stage 7
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/08%20August/TdP-7-1.jpg
It`s the last stage in Pologne. Although it`s a flat one the GC riders must take care as it is very windy again. But normally the podium should stay like that. So let`s see how Hunter and Fischer can perform today.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/08%20August/TdP-7-2.jpg
Meersman (FDJ), Veelers (Skil) and O'Grady (Leopard) in the break of the day. None of them a danger of course but all 3 of them are good riders, so the peloton shouldn`t underestimate them in the fight for the stage win.

Howard is doing the pace for HTC and keeps the advance at maximum 6min. Also Quickstep is doing their part for Scarponi.

Kreder really improved this season. Otherwise he might have been a candidate for a team change. Now he is getting some bottles and working for his leaders after being in a free role on the other stages to take the KoM jersey.

Unfortunately the wind was just too strong and so all riders that were in front too early, had no energy to sprint in the end. This includes Hunter and Fischer.

As also Cavendish and other riders struggled in the end Bobbie Traksel with an easy win on this hard stage due to the wind. He wins ahead of Mondory and Klemme, who was the strongest in the end but started too far behind.
Scarponi will win the overall with Martin being 3rd. Also the win of the KoM ranking is a big success for us. In the Youth ranking as 2nd and 3rd and Team ranking`s 4th are also nice to see.

Thanks all.
@tsmoha: I wanted the win actually as it was the only way to improve.
But with the new course I expected to have less chances. But still two nice stages for me. But I had to change as I wanted to play my own races, that aren`t in the DB like the ManGame races. Wink

Stijn_vranken
looking forward to the vuelta Have set any goals?

RIP WW. Gone but not forgotten

I won`t repeat the Vuelta win I think. Hesjedal won`t have the national bonus (if the player can have this) as LL Sanchez and also much weaker in time trials. Also it`s on extreme now instead of hard.

So top 10 there for sure as Hesjedal already did that in the first season. But maybe even top 5 depending on the starting field.
Rojas will go for some stage wins and the jersey.

We decided to participate here to give our young German talent Löw a chance to present himself in his home country. (Also I like the race and wanted to race my own stage^^)
As mentioned earlier 4 parallel races are hard to manager. So our squad here was much stronger than expected. Next to Haussler, Löw and Stetina also Vansummeren, Farrar and Rojas had to complete the squad. Bad planning by me in the off season obviously.

The race is normally nice for sprinters. But the longest climb onto the "Kyffhäuser" and the "Arnstädter Hohle" on the final circuit make the race harder than other flat stages. With 1000m of very steep parts and a cobbled downhill section the final circuit will normally decide over the winner.

With Garmin being the strongest team here with biggest opponents Finetto, Dall'Antonia (Liquigas), Eichler (Thüringer), Hincapie (HTC), Thomas (Designa) and Radochla (Nutrixxion) we had to do the pace to control the peloton.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/08%20August/CH-2.jpg
With just one lap to go the breakaway was caught and more attacks happened. Especially Vanendert and Markus Fothen tried it. But our sprint train Vansummeren-Rojas-Farrar-Haussler was just too strong and took the win. Former German rider Haussler overtook Farrar in the end and celebrates a fantastic double win.

Nice double but the car looks a bit dangerous!

Great results in Pologne with Martin and Kreder as well.

Looks to me that Haussler is second, behind the car. Smile
Nice double though, and good third with Martin in Poland.
Good luck in Hamburg and the Benelux!

Just caught up a bit by reading the last 15 or 20 pages.

Nice finish in the Tour too! Nice ending and a cool last stage with the TT on Champs.

Will Hesjedal be riding the Vuelta or will he go for the Canadian PT Classics? Personally I'd like to see him in the Vuelta which usually has a weak GC field, to see if he has a chance at a Top 3.

Great double and a great race for Martin in Poland!
