Oh holland.,...why must you be so flat? Because it is Drenthe.
South Limburg for example is not flat at all. (or better there is NO flat there) |

What? Robert Bakalar? Where did you see it? Czech version of Eurosport offers only report at 19.15... |

The Schleck's further behind, meaning Fuglsang's even more likely to get their support |

You didn't seriously believe the Schlecks would have any word to say on the GC, did you?

Not really - but it's been suggested by too many Danish commentators that they'd perhaps go for it |

You can laugh at it, but there is a very good reason there was a KOM sprint (without any points though) there.
The man that made it all possible for Drenth to bring the Vuelta here, Relus ter Beek, is buried there. He's been working very hard lobbying and stuff to get the Vuelta to the Netherlands. Then, when he finally succeeded, he died...
So its sort of an im memorium to him to have the KOM sprint there.
And of course to give the jersey an owner.
For the rest; the cobbeld section dissapointed me a bit... they should've followed the original plan, which included over 2km of cobbels.

2km of cobbles? haha, yeah right, all the Spaniards were already dead after those 600m
You could see the Andalucia guy in the lead group had no clue what was happening to him |

Yes, I know about ter Beek

you can't possibly expect a serious stretch of cobbles in a GT. That happened two or three times in the past and every time it was deride as a moronic idea because GC candidates tend to crash and get hurt on the cobbles, and that robs the race of a lot of excitement in exchange for no advantages at all.

I'm sure some of those GC riders would have liked it. Gesink for instance (7th in RVV U23) |

Well, in these 600m nothing happend... Tankink pulling hard but without any impact. I'd expected some splits there but it didnt happend, which I find a shame.
If thats not what they want, they shouldnt have went of any cobbels at all. You go for it all the way, or not at all. That my opinion on it. This was rubbish. |

Maybe it's me, but having used the search function a few times, I can find Gesink in the results on the official site... |

About 20 riders aren't listed for some weird reason. But they finished

Stop panicking. Gesink finished in the first group and had no problems. (read his twitter, might help you)
Also, if you looked better, you would see some letters above the result saying: "OFFICIOSA"
Thus not official yet. |

yep there go's Schleck brothers..and before you all go crazy and gonna ruin Fuglsang IMO..I will use the oportunity to say that I expecting a lot...he is a type I like..
Chauvinsm...Taaramäe first GT..he is not cocky one but has bad habit to take always to high goals.

Gesink now in the results as 70th. Same time. Same goes for Kreuziger and anyone else important. Lots of Spaniards losing time btw They don't like flat, corners and cobbles

I still don't find a reason to take unnecessary risk on stage 2 for 18 sec. |

No reason to start talking like that. |
