Vlademir Gusev who was fired last year by Astana is going to get compensation, have CAS decided. |

CAS might have decided it, but the chances of Astana paying up, I'd say is pretty small. |

I remember isso saying that Astana couldn't pay for one of the warranties, because they were awaiting the ruling on the Gusev case. If they lost, the money would go to him instead of the warranty.
Besides, they are obligated to pay. |

If they stay in the sport, then they'll pay.
Big 'if' at the moment though. |

That's weird considering the reports about Boonen today. Quick Step will be furious, but good luck ASO. They are going to get sued |

only in dutch :S
https://sporza.be/..._geen_tour
basicly it says that ASO feel they cant allow him because Boonen (his positive control for cocaine) doesnt corespond with the image the tour wants to have, and such a great champion should have, seeing the circumstances they feel it would negativly affect the image of the tour and therefor Boonen wont be allowed to race
ASO also states that QS can appeal the decision before the french olympic comittee...
UCI also announced today that they wont start a procedure vs Boonen after seeing 'many arguements' QS have supplied to UCI in Boonen's defence
so he wont get suspended but cant go to the tour

What's Boonen not being there got to do with who's going to win sprints
*zing*
Anyway, Petacchi's not there, so depending on Freire and Bennati's form, this could be very one-sided.
If Bennati is his usual self, he'll repeat last year's giro: he'll beat cavendish and get green.

Amica Chips continue their "most suspecious team in cycling" routine by not suspending Astarloa.
Nicolas Portal's heart problem is definitely career ending. He'll continue with Caisse in a PR role.
Iván DomÃnguez has asked Fuji to terminate his contract. He feels he can't live separated from his family so he's gone back across the ocean.

I thought Amiga Chips had ended?
Sad to hear about Portal, but good that Caisse gave him a job.
And Dominguez back to Rock Racing |

Bennati seems really out. His injury made damages I think. Too bad.
No one said, but he's racing TdS. And he was nowhere, even if TdS's sprint are on narrow road, avantaging the guy who has a train.
But still... |
