Good job Evans & Contador, hope they're not going to ride the Tour like this.
Ofc, not. This is a warm up! And they won't go without reason, they are nr. 1 and 2.
At least Evans is doing his job now, still have not seen an Astana do anything the entire climb except sit on wheels. Meanwhile Valverde is cruising into the Virtual maillot jaune |

Evans is out in the strong wind and Contador's sucking wheel. It's all going swimmingly for Contador.

Valverde's too dead to accelerate or sprint. Szmyd will win this.

Valverde's pedalling squares. Szmyd is pedalling circles. That says everything.

I remember the one of the Vuelta editions when Vinokourov droped Valverde with some km to go but Valverde pulled of a crazy sprint for viktory.

Ummmmm.... Maybe he wants to win? Valverde is building up a big GC lead if it goes on like this. |

I know he's not a noob in the mountian. But he just rode the giro. And he worked as hell for Basso there.

He's been one of the best climbers for years (but always been a helper),he even finished as #2 on Ventoux a few years ago. It's not as if just suddenly learned how to climb... |
