How's it even possible? Cavendish has never tried a race this long before, it's his first ever MSR, he never gets over hills usually. Now, he's won the MSR in his first attempt. |

What a sprint by Cavendish, insane! But Haussler showed his power too.

Oh, and by the way -- I really don't want any quotes from the admin forum when we discussed what the odds should be |

If Haussler had kept a straight line in the last 100m Cavendish wouldn't had won.

I had Hushovd. But better if Haussler won than Cav. But Cav was to fast in the finish.

There was a gap of 1 sec between 2nd and 3rd. (Curiously, Haussler and Hushovd)

He did very well a week or so ago at Monte Pashce.
I'd have bet on him for this, but the Boonen odds were just too attractive for me. |

What happened on the Poggio is by far the most insane thing I've ever seen in cycling. It's literally the equivalent of the players standng around talking and laughing and leaving the ball alone in a champions league final...
this makes even less sense than when a train stopped the favorites in paris-roubaix or than when a horse jumped onto the road and trampled Zabel...

I think SN, Doddy and Ringo182 needs to apologize on behalf of their nation.

Cavendish is down 6kg from his normal track weight during first part of season...and he has been doing 200km training instead of more track rides....
Zabel has helped him a lot. Cheers to him! |
