Got 6th at the Spiuk Road race
Got 12th at the Plan B Road race
Racing tomorrow at the Paramount Road Race, anything other than top 3 I'll be dissapointed, about time I won my first race with the form I've got. Hilly course which suits, 1 mile hill drag every lap where I should send some riders out the back and uphill finish, couldn't ask for a better course. Aim is breakaway and then go in the last 3-5 mile. |

I have my 3rd race after a long time off on the 18th. With my much better form and a week field I might be able to stay with the pack despite the climbing. |

Here is a video of my teammate winning the Cat 3's race at San Rafael Twilight Criterium.caught I attacked with 7 to go, was with 4 to go and surfed the top 10 for the reamaining laps for 9th. Another race next weekend. I ma designated team leader, for both the Juniors and the combined 3/4's race. I will have at least 3 Cat 3 teammates in the 3/4's.

Its never too late to start training. As long as you have the passion and the drive you can achieve anything. Just look at Gerrans. |

Nicki Sørensen didn't start cycling untill he was 18. He was an elite runner untill then though.

This is a video of the race i did last weekend. It's kinda cool because I am in it a lot. I first drop in at 6:50 in (predominantly black shorts, with green on side panels, blue jersey green sleeves, out of the sadle right before the camera goes around a corner almost touching wheels)
Again at 7:51 in from the left.
Again at 9:15 but what really matters is at 30:31 in you can see me sprint to the front on the right, two corner later I attacked. At 36:57 you can see me attack from the about 3rd wheel to string it out. In the sprint I was farthest to the right.

Man theres enough room to swing a cat in that bunch. Moving up looks very easy. Proved by the guy record the race. Over here theres barely room to have a drink. |

That is a good reason why our national teams come over to race on your roads. Very tight/technical and allow us to ride with 100 guys at 2 inches. |

I won a race today, Colavita Nor Cal Grand Prix. A 1.1 mile crit course. very non traditional, only one true corner, everything else was wide and sweeping. my teammate attacked and took 2 guys with him about 4 laps in. My other teammate attacked from the pack to bridge me up. On my wheel was another rider. So we had 5 guys until about 5 to go, when a group of 4 riders bridged up, with 2 of my teammates. I had one teammate attack to keep the pressure, one lap to go it was all back together. 2 of my teammates formed a leadout for me, it was a bit early and I had one guy left with half a lap to go, he had to really dig. He dropped me off after the final corner with 250 meters to go and I started sprinting from a long ways out. the two guys imediately on my wheel were both good track sprinters, including a member of the state championships for the team sprint. Apparently the guy imediately behind me got within half a bike length at one point but faded at the finish. It was the fastest sprint I have ever done at 37 mph even.

I did my third race today, a road race. It was short, only 12.5 mi, and had a small field (7 guys), but it was a nasty course. After the big hill at the start, which all of us came up together, we split on the next hill. Three guys, two of which were my teammates, went off the front. Behind them was a group of two guys, one of whom was my teammate, and then last was me and this other guy. For around three miles my group was hanging off the tail of the two guys in front of us, but eventually we were completely dropped. The other guy and I rode together almost the entire race. My teammates took a 1-2, and then 4th, while I took 6th (thats right, 1,2,4,6 out of 7 placings). It was a ridiculous race though, here is the altimeter read out. The thing at the bottom is wrong though, as it features around 1200 feet of climbing. Its basically short hills, around 250 yards long, with around 10% grades. However there were two much longer and harder hills, we are really easy to see.
