Stage 1
ITT Arco - Riva del Garda
Lets open the climbers tour with short ITT.
Jaksche..you remember that guy? Was stunning TT riders..but today ..and this weak field just 31. (+30 sec.)
Soler opens the tour..man to wach in final to hugh climb stages..66. (+41 sec.)
Vandborg..this guy just seems to love flat TT stages..2nd. (+3 sec.)
Caucchioli 39. (+32 sec.)
Then comes Basso..and days best time..
Then we just wait ..when someone will beat him..at first Cornu..time..no ..same time with Vandborg..3rd. place and 3 sec. down.
Then Gibo 8th. (+17 sec.) what is this telling us..we have real weak lineup..or Simoni is in great shape.
Another great climber Pozzovivo 128. (+54 sec.)
Last man off the ramp..and last threat for Basso ..Cummings..but no..4th. (+9 sec.)
Double lead after prologue..did not see that one coming..(no Rabo. , Garmin and Highroad is the reason).

Stage 2
Torbole sul Garda - Torri del Benaco
Most dangerous stage for Basso..hilly sprinters will make problems. Last two stges is for pure climbers..today we should wach out...
Breakaway duo..doing great work at the front..Masciarelli and Kaisen. Liquigas should start a work to cach them..
Zaugg controlling a pack..at the climbs..pushing fast has possible..they started a chase to late?..gonna be close one.
Last hill...and here is hilly sprinters ..Bertagnolli and Scarponi atack
When Simoni and Canada atacking..then Basso follows..
Golcher and Caucchioili trying to follow...
last descent..Trofimov has something left..he is trying to get away..hugh favorites group follows
Terrible moment for Masciarelli and Kaisen..all they at the front..but here they come..so close..
sprint...Ponzi takes a lead. Basso just follows..not even trying to win this stage..(dont forget this is preparation race for Giro..)
Close one..Ponzi just managed to hold a lead..against Przemyslaw Niemiec. Basso rolling over the line 3rd. today..tomorrow we climb.

I think we will need acceleration speed..wich is better Pellizotti..but 2 captain plan as usual. Problems was at first I sent Kreuziger for spring classics..disaster..then Pellizotti..a little better..but Noe was no able to protect him long enough. Now plan C two stong guys..middle of the race I will decide a leader.

Stage 4 (last one)
Avarone - Peio Terme
Final stage..real intresting is last part of the stage..up..little break..up..even shorter break..and up we go again..
Liquigas team tactic is simple..climb has fast as possible.when we have out of raiders then Basso will atack..Vanotti has just finished he's duty..now last man Zaugg..and still hard as possible..
Zaugg is gone..now Basso moves at the front..only Szmydt are left..has protection man..Serramenyi trying to take over control..
Then Soler launches atack..this is what Basso has been waiting for..he follows..Francis De Greef is there Samoilau...
..next climbing part..Soler is leading just Basso left ..who can follows Soler speed...
Trofimov has been one of the strongest raiders on this tour..but this hill seems to be to steep for him..
I was wondering where are Caucchioli and Simoni..here they come..coming right thrue and landed behind Basso..great atack..
But Basso had evil plan..when they caught him..he launches same moment short strong atack and start pace fast and hard..
There is hiding and tactic play anymore...who can ..just follow please..This is to much for Simoni..only Soler can keep up..but looks hard..
Basso takes stage win..Cauchhioli has recovered or Soler is just fading..Caucchioli passes him before the line.
Tour win..good. Now Romandie and season main event Giro for Basso. Race condition timing have been working out..
One thing I learned..I need much stronger team to control Giro mountain stages.

Lets give another try..I still dont expect to do something against Valverde, Cynego , Di Luca, Kirchen and Schleck..but behind that everyting is open.
First breakaway attempt..Zabriskie..I should but him also in the Giro possible start list. He has been good and active lately. Main group dont panic yet..
Popo atack..this is serious one..he has been opened almost every spring classic attack wave..
But Silence-Lotto has different plans for day..they but Evans at the front and flat out..damn it hurts..Silence has two strong captains at the group Gilbert and Dekker.
Next uphill ..who wants to win should go after that..Schleck, Valverde, Cunego.
Pellizotti is trying to follow..
Valverde is gone for solo Cunego has atacked after him..chaser group Kirchen, Pellizotti and Schleck..Dekker is fixing he's pedal clamp in descent..and he is into the group.
Cunego trying to cach Valverde..at the front..
Next hill and Gilbert come back from behind with Andy Schleck and when hill starts he launches atack..Kirchen trying to keep up.
Fränk in difficulty..same go's for Pellizotti..legs are wasted..
Cunego has totaly hit the wall..Valverde still at the front..Now the Slence guys are chasing him..Dekker and Gilbert. Great tactic for Silence-Lotto..all started when they but Evans up front to make a pace..
Andy is coming from behind..he likes to have podium place..
Valverde takes Liege win..second year in the row. He has been great spring..Gilbert 2nd.
Andy had caught Dekker..also passes him. But in sprint Dekker takes podium place back..
Pellizotti beating Sanchez at the sprint..8th. place..best spring classic race for Liquigas..
Fischer 50th...isnt very good place? But he beats team mates like Noe and Agnoli..and finishes same group with Moncoutie, Efimkin, Arroyo, Anton ..Fischer is till full of surprises..
Nibali comes with all Astana "cream"..Leipheimer, Armstrong, Contador..
