We will enjoy more if Di Luca becomes more successful. |

Gustavo, stop studying for the exams and start posting new stages!
You'll have plenty of time to fail a number of classes because you didn't study hard enough. You have the rest of your life to finish your degree. So get back to the story!

I probably forgot to tell that my exams are finally over! (Biology was the last one on Saturday :banana
I haven't posted more stages because my laptop has some sort of virus that shuts it down every 30 mins or so and I have other tasks in hands...
Don't worry tough I'll visit a cousin tomorrow and hopefully he'll clean my laptop
That last stage I posted was one that I had saved before my exams season started... along with that I have Volta a Catalunya SSs saved which I was thinking to post after the Giro but if you really wish I can do it now...
@alaz: I'll make sure Di Luca performs best then. The only problem is that I'm not that good of PCM player. I guess I'm the one who should be on doping and not my cyclists

Giro d'Itália
Stage 15
Bad news folks...
After trying to play it over and over again I finally gave up and simulated the stage. It is a shame as I would be sble to catch some awesome SS through the snowy mountains. Passo Stelvio, Passo di Gavia, Malga Mare and another one I don't quite remember were to be faced but the constant crashes stopped my intentions.
So I had no chance but to simulate..
Here are the results:
Tomorrow decisive TT in the Mortirolo!

Giro d'Itália
Etapa 16
A decisive mountain TT today at Mortirolo!O'Grady was our first rider on the road. The aussie is walking paths which arent's his and so he reached the the top full of snow with no breath left in his lungs nor will to enjoy the magnific background!
The first time of relevance was set by Kevin Seeldraeyers from Quick Step but it didn't last ages obviously
One of our hopes today, Xavier Tondo, revealed to be a major disapointmentwith a really weak time for his abilities... Pires and Cabreira have also had their own difficulties... At some time Blanco was leading the stage!
Meanwhile Di Luca ws out for his TT. Even though he was really out of shape the critics considered him one of the favourites!
He quickly met the steep roads of the Mortirolo!
His progression continued through the punishing climb
He found a neighbour in his way uphill! They chated for some time as the italian's pace was fading away...
After passing the level where the snow covered all the remaining vegetation, a purple figure appeared behind him. No it couldnt be Boonen who was him after all?? Schleck was his name he got to the top of the Points Classification after last stage!
The Luxembourguese eventually passed our rider and finished beating Cunego's time. When Di Luca reached the summit he aknowledged that Astarloza the 4th in the GC made an impressive time and would recover a lot of time in the gap between the both of them!
...and to make things even worse the pink guy won the stage...

Larsson is showing a great form!
He has set the pace in many decisive climbs. Usually he's the last man ahead of the pack before the attacks of Riccò and the major favourites! I'd say he has the ability to lead his team and he'd do that if it weren't for Schleck's presence!

Hey Gustavovskiy,
Try these buttons on your keyboard - ".,./'l;[]'[[;;".
One of them will turn off the big circles under the riders. |

Oh thanks fenian
I was about to ask how to do that some time ago but it passed me and my SSs just started looking natural with the circles.

Here they are:
not that good actually but must be at the top of his form because his performances are really being outstanding for a Schleck's team mate!!

The following SS were taken yesterday so the circles aren't removed yet - sorry about that
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stage 17
Today a transition stage . An 18-unit breakaway formed including O'Grady but they were soon caught!
Tanel Kangert the estonian champion left the pack before the first climb to pass half of the stage alone in the front!
Surprisingly, during the 2nd climb of the day many were the riders left behind.
Meanwhile an arm was raised in the middle of the peloton...
It was Schleck whit a flat tyre. What would this mean?
Bjarne Riis had had a reasonable amount of beers last night during the rest day and so the tactics of the team were jeopardised! Only Mikhailov stayed with his team leader!
As Kangert was swallen by the pack we could verify that only the teams with sprinters were working. Both LA MSS and Gerolsteiner were really fair-players with Schleck...
...who was desperating in his group! With 20km left the gap was 2'30
At the front the trains were forming Petacchi being the main favourite! Di Luca was well positioned for our relief as all of our team was left behind!
Petacchi didnt position himself properly and so the stage contenders wer Robert Hunter and.... Riccò
But fortunately for my mental health Hunter beated the italian doping master!
Now the clock started ticking for the luxembourguese... how much time would he lose for his italian rivals??
More than 4' for sure! The rider in purple finished exhausted hanging his head in Offredo's butt
Tomorrow last mountainous stage arriving in Isola 2000. Let's hope these lucky events help raising Di Luca's mood for a good performance

Stage 18
Last mountainous stage of the Giro passing through Col de L'Agnello, Col de Vars, Cima Coppi and finish at Isola 2000!!
Riccò was the all-mighty favourite for today. His pink jersey was completely guaranteed
The major struggle would be between these 3 men!
Some outstanding backgrounds during the race!
At Col de L'Agnello the escapees got away: El Fares, Botcharov, Anza, Masciarelli, Martens...
...as in the pack Marzano tortured the others uphill!
At the top the amount of snow was the same as the amount of exhaustion!
The breakaway of the day was defined after the downhill. The same men plus Bertagnolli and without Martens...
...and the gap was widening through Col de Vars.
Our men in the backstage deserve an applause as well as Di Luca! We didnt refer them thoughout the race but they were vital to the italian!
and what goes up must come down...
Now Cima Coppi! At the summit only 30 resisted! These were the ones able to catch a victory!
The final ascent to Isola 2000 began. It was Fothen the one pushing the pace!
Chavanel launched a strong attack!
Which functioned as an ignition button to Sella, Simoni and Karpets. But we all knew the decisive moves weer yet to come...
The moment we were waiting for was this one! The pink man got away with Schleck on his tail and obviously Di Luca. Pink vs Purple vs Green!!
And a 10-unit group was formed up front!
But nobody risked nothing for a while. Our italian was however struggling to keep at the end of the bunch!!
Then Cunego couldn't wait any longer. Schleck was very fast after him as well as Riccò! Di Luca was caught by surprise!
But fortunately he could hold onto Simoni's wheel! One could tell he was at his limit!
Nontheless he showed his debility with the begginng of the sprint. He just couldn't give anything else!!
At the front Cunego celebrated a well deserved win!
As our leader finished in a self-struggle! He managed to finish in the top10 but would the time lost to Schleck be to much??
Stage
GC
Fortunately the answer was no!! Now there is only one final test: the 50km TT whcih will define the GC standings. Let's hope we can do something good!

Stage 19
An 18-men breakaway formed with Zaballa in...
But they were caught with less than 4km to the finish...
And a messy sprint was launched! Di Luca managed to get a good position!
But the winner was Foster!! Petacchi beaten once more!
Di Luca achieved a 3rd spot gaining some seconds on the bonifications for tomorrow!

Stage 19
The race was ment to be decided today!
Bodrogi was the first to set a strong time! Our first man, Garrido, showed how big the differences could be today he lost 7'41 for the hungarian!
As Di Luca set off Larsson had already beaten Bodrogi's time! Fingers crossed for the italian!
Bad news up front!! Astarloza got the best time on the first checkpoint.
And a little later Riccò passed our leader...our day wasnt going well...
At the finish Schleck set a reasonable time when Astarloza had already virtually won the stage!
Later it was Riccò...
...and only after him Di Luca...I didn't have the strenght to look at the classifications...
