It seems Theo Bos will announce today that he stops track cycling and will switch to road |

Cavendish doesn't exactly do sprint when he rides on the track. |

Madison is in no way comparable to individual sprint indeed. That's a problem most people don't understand.
They think "track cyclist". They don't know you can combine pursuit/madison with road, but you absolutely can't combine sprint(teamsprint) and road... |

I remember having a discussion about the training for track and the training for road. There are some things that help out road from track racing. But its because Cav does endurance events that makes it different for Bos. Bos does the sprint events. And since training more on the road he has lost his fast top end speed. And i doubt he will challenge in big sprints with people like Cav, Ciolek and Benatti. |

Agree he doens't have the endurance to challenge the big road sprinters after 200 km.

not yet, that doesnt mean he'll never have.
either way, it will be interesting to see a world champion sprint on the road. |

Let's hope he can do right turns, not just left turns... |

We'll see... We have no clue of what his talent is when it comes about endurance. Probably nothing wonderful (he wouldn't have been one of the very fastest track sprinters otherwise), but maybe enough to match the best sprinters on 200 km road events. We can't know yet, at all. It's only betting.
I have more doubts about long long events like MSR or Paris-Tours though... |

That's team building at its best
Saxo Bank should try some of this. Drunk Schlecks could win tours

Former world champion. He isn't fast enough to be world champ anymore. |

He just had one bad year, it's bullshit to say he doesn't have the speed.
Anyway, he was pretty good at the juniors in flat races, everyone knew you had to be in Bos wheel to stand a chance in a sprint back then. But that's...9/10 years ago |

Kohl was caught due to Tour de France samples, Sella was caught due to out of competition samples. Spot the difference? |
