Apologies for the lack of updates. I've been working on sorting out the equipment for v2 of the PCMDaily.db and making some more wheels so have not had time to write up the last couple of stages in the TdF. I've played the next two - so hopefully they'll be up some time this week.
In the meantime, I found the screens for the sprint from a couple of days ago. I'd moved them into a different folder and then forgotten I'd done that.
Here they are.

Stage 7
After my win yesterday I am feeling very good and will be alert to any chances that present themselves today. The short climb inside the final 10k should prevent this day ending in a sprint.
Once again we help out Astana in the chase after the escapees. There are seven of them, but the break never looks as if it will make it today.
The peloton stays together on the day's major climb and as we race down into the valley, the group have a lead of around 3 minutes. They are gradually pulled back in and Caisse really wind the pace up as we hit the final climb of the day inside the last 10k.
Contador takes a turn at the front on the way up and very close to the summit Evans attacks. I wait and watch, but when Sanchez takes off I know now is the time to make a difference.
There is a flat kilometer or two at the summit and as on the downhill on the other side Sanchez has a gap, but he will not shake me today...
With just over 3k to go, myself and Sammy have been joined by Evans, Hoste and Efimkin. Hoste and Efimkin are survivors of the days break and both look to be riding on empty.
I have plenty left in the tank today though and once again it is I who makes the first move.
Hoste cannot come through for Evans. The Australian looks at Sanchez. Sanchez looks at Evans. And I am gone....
And I have back to back stage wins in this year's Tour. And perhaps more importantly, I have taken time from men like Contador and Kloden today. It is too early to get carried away though - we have not even hit the high mountains yet. That is when we will see how high I can climb on the GC...

Stage 8
And so on to Stage 8 and what should be a quiet day in the saddle for me after the highs of the last few days.
There is a break, their lead peaks at aroud 8 minutes and the sprinters teams charge to the front to bring the escapees back. We are into the final 30k and flying along, when suddenly I am on the tarmac at the edge of the road.
I am able to get up and back on the bike, but this my friends is an absolute disaster.
Everyone apart from Oscar and Erviti drop back to help me, but with the peloton moving at full speed we have no chance of getting back on. Gradually my team-mates are shelled and I ride the final few kilometers alone...
Bennati is strongest again in the sprint, but who cares about that?

Stage 9
The first difficult mountain stage of this year's Tour.
We manage to get Losada away in the break of the day. It's unlikely the three of them will make it, but you never know...
Silence and CSC help Astana out with the chase today and as we expected the escapees do not make it.
In fact, it is a stage where the favorites wait until the final climb, the Col de Aspin, and then the fireworks begin. Alberto Contador moves to the front and sets a high pace at the foot of the climb. It is not high enough though to prevent Andy Schleck from putting in a big attack. Evans follows. I watch and wait.
Contador and Leipheimer acclerate and bring them back.
Cobo then puts his head down and makes his move. Evans and Shleck try again. Sammy Sanchez goes along for the ride. I continue to wait, but it seems the Astana pair are tiring.
Over the top and it seems I have missed my chance today. Sanchez, Schleck and Cobo are out front. Evans and Rogers are in no man's land. Myself and Oscar are in the yellow jersey group with Contador and Leipheimer driving things along.
Evans and Rogers are reeled in, but up the front the trio stay away and it is Sammy Sanchez who outsprints Andy Schleck for victory.
I lead the second group home, but I can't help feeling that I missed an opportunity here today. I gambled on Contador and Leipheimer having the strength to keep things under control, but they didn't. I will not make the same mistake again, and at least today I have re-taken the green jersey.

Stage 10
A short stage, but a difficult one. We finish with the legendary ascents of the Col du Tourmalet and Hautacam.
A small break of six riders gets away early, but with Astana, CSC and Silence once again collaborating at the front they have no chance. They have 6 minutes at the bottom of the Tourmalet. At the top, the gap is 2. None of the favorites have made a move yet and as we descend myself and Oscar are comfortable in the lead group.
The peloton is much reduced though and as we hit the Hauatcam I am feeling good.
Again, it is Andy Schleck who makes the first move. Evans goes too. I decide to wait again.
Astarloza and Astana up the pace. If they bring them back, then I will make my move.
They are struggling today though...Kloden decides that he has to make an effort. Kirchen and I are immediately on to the move.
We have a gap....but are not able to get up to Andy Schleck.
Today he is the strongest man on the mountain and is rewarded for his fearless attacking over the last few days.
I am strong today too, and am able to take some time back from some of the others chasing Top 10 positions.
Oscar hangs tough too and manages to limit his losses.

Good story but wondering what level he was playing on and why not try and keep periero up there to so you could send him up the road on the alp 'huez stage and the comp will be forced to chase hard and you can sit in and wait til he is caught and send a counter |

Level is hard. Valverde is one of the best climbers in this DB. Believe me, on this level, if Pereiro attacks, he will loose everything. Same with Valverde - I've just got to cover the moves and look to pick up a minute here and there on the hilly stages. And I'm not going to sacrifice either of them for the other.

Far enough i like this story becasue i play on hard so i can see what you are doing and when he is riding on the last climb and the pace suddenly accelerates on the front does he stay on the go to group or does ghe presss the dot and alter his effort as i do the second and it works just wondering what he is doing as it is working well

Stage 11
A break may make it today after two hard days in the high mountains.
Gutierrez is the man for us and he fights his way into the escape. It is small though, and they will have to ride hard to make it.
They have a lead of just under nine minutes when Silence move up to the front and inject a serious dose of speed into the peloton. There are 85k to go.
The lead is still three and a half minutes as they hit the only major climb of the day.
The peleton does not let up though and the pace up the climb is fast. Not fast enough to prevent attacks though - and both myself and Oscar go with moves from Andy Schleck, Cobo and Sanchez.
With Astana struggling to close the gap, we order Gutierrez to drop back from the break to help us out. It looks as if they will be caught anyway by this group...
Over the top and this elite group have a 30k ride down to the finish and an opportunity to put some time into Astana. Cobo, Menchov and Garate look to be struggling a little with the pace though....
There is over a minute back to the Astana led peloton. The pace down into the valley is murderous and both Gutierrez and Pereiro have some trouble hanging on. Nibali makes his move as we enter the final couple of kilometers.
Cobo and Schleck wait for me and I am forced to respond. I am stronger than the Italian, but have little left after the effort of passing him.
Cobo though is the rider with most left, and Andy Shleck even manages to pass me in the final few meters. Can he win the Tour, I wonder?

Stage 12
The sprinters have had nothing for a while - we do not expect them to let a break go today.
They don't and I am a little dissapointed that in the high winds today, there is no split in the group in the final few kilometers.
Bennati once again proves that he is the best sprinter in the race this year. The others can maybe take comfort in the fact that they are getting closer...

Stage 13
Another flat stage and maybe today a break will stay away?
Everyone has the same thoughts it seems and after a fairly furious first hour of racing a group containing Rojas manages to sneak away.
Not enough teams are represented in the group for it to have a chance and once again the race looks as if it will come down to a sprint. There are some tired legs though and inside the final 3k, Gilbert tries to jump off the front.
He is an absolute monster today and and the others who try and follow him get nowhere near.
