Yeah, sounds like its time for an update mate This one i have is a pre build but the next one i will get i will make myself. This way i can avoid all the problems with Admin on Vista. Thats the reason why i have trouble with a few PCM things. Just to ask where will you buy for GFX card from? |

https://overclockers.co.uk/ Is your best bet i think. My mate ordered an 8600 GT and got an GTS, however his power supply couldnt handle it and he ended up having to send his computer away etc |

Well, i think that More Memory helps. Thats what my mates taught me, but having a good processor is always good too. I have a AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ and that runs amazingly. I would personally go for more ram. But you have to check the motherboard etc. With a 5 years computer i would expect that you might have an old motherboard. Id check that out first. |

All i suggest when coming to computers is to do your research. Make sure everything will be ok. It took me about 3 months to get the right computer, and ive had no problems at all with this one. Its perfect |

the motherboard went out of production last year, to me that means it's not brilliant but not rubbish either. Heck if it blows it means time for a new pc so i'm not complaining. Exams are done and i'm owed one

How good will i be able to run the game on my computer with these spesifications from a scale 1-10.?
Prosessor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 3,00 ghz
RAM DDR2: 3 072 mb
MHz 667
nVidia GeForce 8600GS 512mb
I'll go with 7.5. You'll be able to run it on full graphics in a modest resolution with anti-aliasing off or on 1 (2 at best), since I have a similar set up (although i have 1 GB more RAM and a 8600 GT, but your processor is better and your memory card has more RAM)
Still getting the full impact of the new game though |

Also i think with a 8600 GT we might be able to reach full graphics with AA at x2. Lets wait and see. (Of course this will depend on other things too, with your specs you might struggle to run AA on x2. Anyway hopefully youll be able to run max shaders.)
I can confirm that I've run PCM with max shaders and AAx1 with an 8600GT. I haven't tried AAx2 because its looks good enough as it is, and I feel I'm on the limit. Might have a go later and report back |

Would an NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS, (256 MB) DDR2 PCI-E Video Card be fine with pcm 08? |

Yes, it would be able to run PCM 08.

Not with this configuration though.
1. Your processor is too weak
2. You don't have enough RAM
3. The graphics card in your laptop is weak, and as yet no one really knows how Intel graphics cards are handling the game. Thats a really old model though and combined with the processor and lack of ram, no chance! I'd be surprised if it ran PCM 07 above minimum. |

My shitty Intel graphics card in my laptop can run the game on maximum setting apart from it lags when shaders are on
So I just play maximum settings apart from shaders, it'll do me fine seen as I can't get a new graphics card for my laptop
EDIT: forgot, actually, anti-aliasing doesn't work with it though, have t have that on 0
